My hat is off to the Attitude seed company

A plus service

ordered my Lemon super Haze last Monday and the beans were at my door in the states 8 days later! Also got many free seeds from UFO. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Week 6 of flowering

As week six comes to my flowering room, my 2 plants strain 2 and strain 3 of Hawaiian Surprise are alive and smelling nice.

The damage sustained from the earlier nute/water stress/light burn, is visible but doesn't seem to have majorly effected the plants.

Buds are swelling but still not much larger than a medium size, and the white hairs are starting to turn a deep amber color, but under the microscope tricomes still look like a Crystal Clear forest of tiny mushroom heads.

I will be starting to flower my next generation of HS, and starting my LSH soon as my newly ordered smart pots arrive, also i have received a set of liquid FF nutes. So when i attempt the Lemon Super Haze I will have a much better set up than my first grow with the HS.

I will fully document my LSH grow separately from this grow so that I and any others will have my personal experience with this strain.

Thank You all for reading and i look forward to your comments/advice.

and with out further ado what your really looking for, pics...

i decided to pull a small bud today and get an early sample of how its going. So in a few days i should have an idea how the smoke is turning out. of course the final product will be going through a full curing process :)

Oh and the smart pots arrived for my next grow!

WEEK 7 OF FLOWERING

As me and the ladies hit week seven of flowering, i see buds fluffing out and tricomes are starting to turn milky, but mostly still clear with nicely formed mushroom structures. i have noticed plant 3 of the Hawaiian surprise strain is starting to turn yellow on all fan leaves at once, they have been only receiving water since the week 4 nute burn, also rust spots are very pronounced, i hope to keep my next set of plants from bearing these marks.

as i continue to flower my set of Hawaiian surprise plants my next set of 3 clones from plant 2 and plant 3 are beginning their first week of flowering, i expect good things from these girls!

Also continued with my aerogarden veg project. I have now removed my fish tank veg chamber, i will now germinate/clone/veg in or at my aerogarden station.

having made great results in the first set of plants started in the aerogarden (skunk #1), i have since moved them into smart pots and begun to flower them, they are 7 inches tall much smaller than my last set, I'm looking for the perfect size for my grow room, the last run was way to big and suffered light burn.

as i continue to tweak my system and learn from others on this site, i hope to tie it all together into bigger better plants.

i am now starting a Blueberry, a Super lemon haze, and one Anestesia.

I'm hoping for the same results of the skunk tests with a nice bushy thick plant.

;;;;;;

;;;;

temp set up till my new pot drip trays arrive, and i know i still need mylar hehe

2 large plants to the left are my 7 week old flowering Hawaiian surprise, the 3 plants in the back are my next generation of Hawaiian surprise vegged in the old fish tank. no shit these plants are 50 days old.

in front are my 2 skunk plants looking bushy and healthy fresh from my new aerogarden veg station. and these plants are 21 days old, so the results speak for themselves when compared to their 50 day old neighbors.

lol its almost a time line of me getting better at growing as u look at this pic.

not the thickest buds Ive ever seen BUT for my first grow ill call it a draw and win next time.

Hps 400 watt and 90 watt UFO make up my flowering multi spectrum, the next grow will tell if adding the LED was worth the effort.

theres no doubt i will be using the aerogarden to start and veg my plants in the future if i keep making bushy plants like my 2 skunk #1's bottom right.

also note i am converting to smart pots :)

close ups of my 2 skunk's

STINKY, i suspect it to be a male but time will tell, any guesses ?

Anestesia

Super Lemon haze

BLUEBERRY!
cause i always want blue in my grow room ;p

with day time high temps hitting -16 right now, sure is fun keeping my room warm in the middle of my 12/12 cycle.

so far the lowest ive seen is 56f degrees in my room. Now thats right by the concreete wall, if this continues much longer im gonna add a small electric oil heater

on low, to keep my flower room in the 60-70 range at night time.

Damn thats cold...I got an electric heater in my cab in the basement. The thermostat is not too acurate. It ranges from 63 to 86 but the 6 week old babies are doing great...

Damn I missed the pics. Sometime when I click go to last viewed it skips some post. Look great man...I would put some reflective materals on the walls and floor. It will make a big difference. Even the floor. My cabinet is much brighter with it on the floor...Look at those new babies...

i plan too spray adhesive some mylar in the future for the black wall and leave the flat white wall alone. however i never thought of the floor thats something I'm deff gonna look into. i really haven't had many light issues other than not being able to get my lights far enough away from my plants lol It would be nice to fatten up my lower branch buds.

Its really therapeutic to have a lush garden to hang out in when its below zero outside! I swear i always feel better after hang-en out with the plants for a while.

well mostly cause i had a brand new un opened box of MG so i tried it, and it worked nicely however, i made two large mistakes.

1) having a strong organic soil mix and adding MG too early

2) feeding with MG every other watering was WAY to much for that stuff, its very powerful use it at 1/4 strength and only one time every 3- 4 weeks.

i have now bought a set of Fox farms water soluble nutes, if i do any fertilizing in the future it will be with that.
I may use MG again in the future but for now I'm going to try the FF and see how i like it.

fox farm is pretty awesome...my first grow was soil and i used it...I liked it alot...are you using it at full strength? i didnt..about half if i remember right. Yeah that soil sounded pretty good. Since your using organic soil have you thought about mixing your own tea? From what i hear you can use the same stuff throughout all stages of your plants....get a 15 gallon trashcan with a lid, fill it up with water and add 2 cups alfalfa pellets, half a cup of fish emulsion, amd half a cup epsom salt. stir it up every couple days for about a week.

my soil is pretty great stuff we grew some 5lb tomato's in it last year! its a special compost mix i make and age, also aged horse manure and also peat moss and sand, no perlite just cause i didn't have any on hand, so i used extra sand. my plants took off like rockets in it during the first part of my grow, until i nuked them with miracle grow my fault lol

i also cover each plant with a 2 inch layer of sand, this not only controls fungus Nat's it reflects a lot of light back at the plant(checked with light meter), also they keep the water from evaporating and they help keep the roots warm. win/win so far

I'm not even sure if i need any nutes, but i plan to start a FF regiment on the new plants about half way through flowering and see how it takes, i am not currently or have i ever used FF before.

now if i find i needed more nutes i would much rather make a tea and store it up in a reservoir, can that be used instead of store bought nutes? this could be a good idea to save money.

but right now i think I'm gonna watch my plants very closely and if it seems growth slows i will start 1/4 strength nutes early.

has anyone here ever used an organic soil mix with out extra nutrients?
