I wish that heavy lifting built lean mass too. Does it, maybe I am wrong. I am stuck now as I only go for bulk now. I have a long way to go. But I read all this lean and maybe I should throw a lean day or some lean set in there?
IDK.
I am still going everyday. Makes me a lot happier afterwards. Eat right too still. Frickin asparagus at night instead of grill cheese sandwhichs.

As Babs pointed out, going with High Reps/Low Weight can be substituted for cardio... Just like in cardio, you are performing an exercise for an extended period of time, which in turn means your heart rate remains high for a long time.I wish that heavy lifting built lean mass too. +repIf you want to go into bodybuilding you have to get the right nutrients. Just like your plants. A bodybuilder needs a steady manageable routine I do 5 days a week average 90 minutes a session. Next the nutrients the right protein is the key. You want to get a daily intake of 0.8 - 1.0 grams per pound of body weight. Also you have to eat good foods. Lots of carbohydrates I eat peaches, oranges, and bananas every day. Lean meat and eggs are good too.
I put together a twelve week routine that I found in an old workout magazine. It broke training into 4 groups of body parts to train at different times to maximize muscle confusion techniques.

Don't forget your body can only use about 40g of protein every few hours...anything extra is a waste. If you want to go into bodybuilding you have to get the right nutrients. Just like your plants. Traps=Shoulders...He said he does back, so i'm assuming he does lower back. Youre obliques usually get worked with abs....i like straight arm pull downs with a cables and a straight bar. Running for 45 mins seems like legs to me, also. 45 mins seems a bit steep to be running though. I run 3 miles in about 20 minutes...you running a marathon? hahahaTraps? Legs? Lower Back? Obliques?
