Yea I think 6 weeks is a good period of time.Who else is in?
Lol I wish I could go from Keg to 6 pack in 6 weeks... count me out, i'll be watching though cheering you all on.

What type of routines do you guys do for cardio? Im thinking about jogging once a day 1-2 miles. I finally got surgery done on my leg removing two rods and I think its time to really get things pumping. Surely 1-2 miles a day would do the body good? On top of weight lifting.

Come on man atleast give it a try lol.
The only cardio I can do at the moment is Jump rope,Heavy Bag and speed bag.In 19 days im gonna start jogging again I doubt I'll be able to even make a mile on my first try.

We'll see how things go... I haven't been losing as much weight as I'd like to so 6 weeks seems pretty much out there but with the added jogging I might see some big improvement... at least I hope lol.

In the past year I've dropped from 225lbs-170lbs... Strictly lifting 3-4 times a week and eating less. Im getting there, I just need to kick things alittle more into gear... I've just recently (for the most part) cut out sweets and faty foods (I use to just eat less of them). I can feel the change already, so maybe the jogging is exactly what I need to start shredding this fat. Good luck everyone with their goals and remember, anythings possible! As Victor Hugosaid,
People do not lack strength; they lack will.
Stay motivated guys.:leaf:

this is my day to day workout
been doing this for a month

day 1
arms, shoulder, innerabs, 45min bikes

day 2
chest, back, outerabs, 45min run (tredmill)
Hey, I'm going back and reading from beginning......
Personally, I always found a different routine to work best, but bear in mind it's always good to switch it up because your body will become accustomed to being hit with certain exercises, and not respond accordingly.
When you say "arms"...I think in terms of different workouts.

If you REALLY want to put a focus on strengthning any one muscle group, it's wise to use those muscles that already naturally work together.

Why not try doing chest/triceps and abs one workout....and then Back, biceps/abs the next......the following, totally legs, calves, hamstrings and quads.

In order for you to properly build that muscle, you must allow it healing time in order that it repair itself and build up for the next routine.
So, if you are tyring to really get "buff"....and you are doing daily routines, alternate. Otherwise, you are not utiliizing work out time well.

What do you people think about pyramids? I almost swear by'em but my workout partner doesn't.
Pyramids are awesome for you gordon, and you can use them in one of two ways.
Being I'm a female and have genes to get muscular...as in not the kind a female is after...
I eventually had to go backwards with the pyramid theory.

If you are looking to bulk up, you will use more weight, less repetition obviously.
The goal is to make that first set enough to BURN. Typically, people do 3 to 4 sets.

If you really want to do it right...start out with a weight where you can "comfortably" ......but at the same time, not remotely effortlessy, do 15 reps....from there, obviously more reps, less weights.

For me, I lost track with "pyramids."

I could endlessly do very controlled bicep curls with 25 pounds.......and my goal was not bulk, so.....I had to change it up A LOT.
If you concentrate more on form and less on weight, you will ALWAYS thank yourself in the end.

Instead of forever making it your goal to do HEAVIER, stick with "heavy" and GO AT THOSE REPS!!! It's SO much more about form than weight......trust me.

Once you feel that excruciating (well, almost) burn with your palms facing outwards.....move on to palms facing in, shoulders completely still. Think of yourself as a robot in movement.....nothing out of sync. Also, very notable is BREATHING....people don't get how important this is to proper development......it's a VERY focused movement.....breathe in as you release, breathe out as you exert......and then on to facing palms in front of you.

I saw so many men slamming extrodinarily heavy weight slingling their shoulders just to get it up and as often as they liked (lol, that didn't sound right)--
it is in short, A WASTE OF TIME......and you are asking to tear some ligaments.

NEVER sacrifice form for heavy weights......FOOLISH.

This is kind of on topic because it involves working out.
I got this bump in my wrist and its sticks out when I bend my wrist. It hurts like hell when I do push ups or put any pressure on it.My grandmom said it might be a cyst.Has anyone ever had one of these?I read if you smack it with a dictionary it will pop lol. That didn't work though. So does anyone know a way to pop it without going to the doctor/hospital?
Might be from loading too many bowls!! :bigjoint:

does anyone smoke WHILE working out
i gat a budy that does that - i hate it - to the point i don't like going over his house to smoke
he also do push up with a deck of cards ( jail shit)
i get such a head rush form push ups when i stand up
why would i smoke with that
A smoke fest is an absoulte imperative.bongsmilie....gets me motivated.

Let's not make this about going from keg to 6 pack and instead focus on competing with ourselves.

Jogging is great.....don't know why you had rods in your legs, but sounds like you should definitely take it slow and build up from there.

A mile is a mile is a mile.....you will burn the same amount of calories whether you run it, walk it, or jog it.

If you are looking to burn fat, you are better off taking twice the amount of time (in other words, a brisk walk) than running an 8 or 10 minute mile.

I'd suggest going very slow and work your way up...best approach..and better safe than sorry.
