Exactly. If his neighbor is a farmer he knows his boundaries I'll guarantee you. He might have leased a spot to an outside hunter who mistakenly placed it there. Lived all my life in the west around ranches and farms. Grew up on a POS ranch in hell and we damned sure knew where every fencle line was.I think you're making this out to be more complicated than it needs to be. If the OP is sure it's his neighbor's, why do you persist in doubting? Surely OP knows his land and situation better than you do. The stand is barely on the OP's land from what he's said. It could just be a simple mistake of the other guy not knowing exactly where his property ends and OP's begins. It could also be that his neighbor found this awesome trail that looked like a prime hunting spot, and figured that he might be able to get away with putting his stand there (figuring that OP never goes out there). He could always just plead ignorance if confronted by the OP, and probably move it in an instant if the OP brought it up.
edit: Actually, I may have misinterpreted your last post. Are you saying that you doubt the OP's claims that the stand is on OP's land?
Shit like this does not happen. Landowners simply dismantle the things. Making a big deal? Two plants? Get a life.
