Meh what are they gonna do? Lock him up until arraignment? Why? They got the plants, no way he is dodging this one, when it comes time he will get whatever punishment he will get. Probably not gonna be a flight risk if he has a wife and kid and his own house and a job and stuff. That's a lot of ties to the community to bail on to escape a grow charge.

If it even was the police...

cops with a warrant dont knock on your door...they kick it down...or why get the warrant in the first place...and you would not get a number and be told to call for a court date.you would at the least been ticketed which would of had the court date.and this entire time...ya would have been handcuffed.....they got jacked..plain and simple...always ask for a badge and a copy of the warrant..which they are required to bring

Ok now for the results! Indeed they were the real deal police! They got his liscene's plate number when he visited a local hydroponic store. Someones said that he was a big time grower and that he just recently bought a shitload of equipment from them(not true). They did not have a warrant and it was a sting operation. Also the hydroponic store's co-owner and a few employees that either been busted or linked to pretty big grow ops. The police are saying if he cooperates with them to bring down the store, they will drop all his charges. What should he do? He doesn't want to help them and would rather find the best lawyer possible. How would he go about doing that? How strict are the marijuana laws in Florida?

For less than 10,000 pounds or less than 10,000 plants there is a mandatory minimum sentence of seven years and a fine of $50,000. Mandatory minimum sentence: When someone is convicted of an offense punishable by a mandatory minimum sentence, the judge must sentence the defendant to the mandatory minimum sentence or to a higher sentence. The judge has no power to sentence the defendant to less time than the mandatory minimum. A prisoner serving an MMS for a federal offense and for most state offenses will not be eligible for parole. Ok so one of our other friends is growing as well(about 9 plants) since one friend just got busted, should he chop his crop down or continue? About 3 weeks from harvest. He has visited the same store but 4 times within the past year but has stopped going since he has been reading that going to that store has led to busts. He was thinking of finishing up and then replacing the crop with his strawberry plants. What do you guys think?
