not sure why anyone would wait for HC to OK them when they have already been given a script from the doc and have the COURTS BEHIND THEM TO DO AS THEY WISH!!

fools wait for an ok..
sick people treat themselves as they should!

isn't that right Johnny!!.. :)

I'm just being the devils advocate here. It doesn't have to written in the lease. Without access to adequate insurance coverage to cover MMJ, the landlords will fight this in court..and they will win. The courts with be inundated with appeals of these evictions until insurance companies get on board, or are forced to issue coverage by the Gov (ie: UBER drivers).
Winning isn't a given.
Just because insurance doesn't cover growing isn't an argument. Insurance doesn't cover a lot of things...

No, you should be able to walk into your doctors office and walk out with the script. Registering is tracking as I see it. Triplicate prescriptions-nothing more is needed.
Agree if you have to register or renew, three weeks is not as good as being able to do it online or like you say a simple prescription should be enough. I can't complain about 3 weeks though really since it took 10 weeks to register. It's progress at least and maybe this will help reassure anyone else who has a simple renewal coming up.

They call it ACMPR registration not application. Does not being registered make me a criminal?

Kinda depends on a few things n3fta.
A paper prescription from your doctor goes a long way when your sick.
Also if you were mmar before this whole, Harper invented mmj crisis started... you would still be good,(this also should be a class action against the harper cons. for mis-handling and
disregard for the constitution of Canada)
otherwise, for some stupid reason mmj is not legal until they officially reach july 2018 and they will bust you
up to that imaginary start date.
So its will be 2 whole years plus for the gov to implement ,something that could have been done with the swoop of a pen.
every single person busted since the libs took office ...need to sue the gov maybe as a class action.
because its is absolutely unacceptable, that they are still busting people in one province while other provinces do not.

Copy of prescription in hand and registration has been filed with HC. Problem is the 16 weeks from late May until September. I had no intention of this year being a wash, but did't do enough homework on approval times. I figured 4-6 weeks like every other government program. I blame myself in some ways, but 16 weeks is absurd. I'll be sending off the renewal 20 weeks in advance that's for sure.

What's absurd is they're not even trying to establish a processing standard and the people that answer the phone might as well be a recording

"We do/don't have your application"

"It is processing"

"We're not giving estimates on turnaround time"

"The long processing time is due to the volume of applications"

"We have hired more staff to process registrations as fast as possible"

Every. Single. Time

The health canada site states clearly that until you get your registration you can't grow legally.

Will a judge find you guilty? Maybe, maybe not.

I can't afford the legal costs to find out.

Precedence has already been established in courts from ON, BC, and if I remember correctly, AB. You will not be found guilty of growing while awaiting your ACMPR license.

Straying back to the original topic, Health Canada recieved my application may 5th, started processing may 16th. Been calling in once a week to hear them say it was in processing but everything looked okay...yadda yadda. Called in today and was told my application has been recommended for approval and will be moving into the next Dept for a final look then the grow permit will be printed and mailed out. Anyone reach this stage know how long it took them to review and finally print it out for mailing?
