My beef is with the oligarchs who have taken hold of nearly all of the reins of power and wield them to the short AND long term detriment of our society, not to mention all the rest of them.

Bernie didn't address that at all and it is one of his shortcomings, IMHO.

How is the SDP of the early 20th century different than democratic socialism seen in places like northern Europe or the platform Sanders supports?

Berners wonder why they're hated by everyone. Democrats hate you because you are basically self hating democrats who hold mostly the same positions but act like jerks and swear you have actual ideological differences. Republicans hate you because they are bigoted ass holes. Leftists hate you because we're tired of everyone thinking we support an ass hole like bernard.

It seems that if anything isn't a bunch of pro-bernard clatter, you deem it valueless. I really don't think you have the capacity to wrap your head around the notion that Bernard is irrelevant.
