Hi all, Im new to rollitup and have been following Al B.'s thread on GC. I am a soil gal and would like to convert to hydro.I'm tired of DIRT!!! Like 98% of the other ppl that posted on here I too know very little about hydro, but that is all going to change! I have a couple books on hydroponics the basics ect to better inform myself. I am looking to do a similar set up as Al's and have just moved to my new location, the area I have to dedicate to it is 11'x10' and is about 15'high. I also have asmall closet area as well i as hoping to use for clones or mums. basically this is what I have

1 400hps
2 1000hps
my panda film
and an awful lot of useless soil in this case lol..

I wanted to do a flood system using rockwool, I know that 4 sure, maybe Al can answer sum of this and hope fully others can elaborate or offer ideas. I am looking to keep just as many plants as I did with my soil op, I ran a sort of shabby version of sog in soil :( and had bout 50 plants at a time, I definately want to expand that maybe 75-80 tops!
now for my question:
can anyone point me to a thread and give me a break down or the necessary parts and tools need to set up a flood system for that many plants. I need steps for building it, I have never delt in hydro b4 and am a lost with out step by step instructions. I want to built it myself cause Im a cheap bitch and dont want to give the hydro shop my money!! I've got about $2500 to spend on setting up the hydro portion (more if need be :( ) like I state b4 I have my lights already. do you think that will be enough to set up a nice, efficient set up? I also prefer to do everything that I can do on timers, due to my hectic schedule and laziness lol. so watering, pumps, lights and all i want on timers, anyone have a set up like that? if so building instructions would be great or if anyone knows of a book that may have instructions for soemthing like this. wow that was a long post, srry just hope sum1 will read all that.

well for starters it shouldn't cost 2500 do get that going...but you can always spend that much...I know fdd2blk has a buddy with a flood and drain system and it seems to be going great...maybe start a thread for your grow and we can get the flood and drain guys to help ya out on the grow...:hump::hump::peace::peace:
