I guess we in for the same BS as 2008

i've been trying to get an answer on this one, perhaps you can help me.

all the other candidates have campaigns courting women and latinos, i.e. "latinos for romney" and "women for santorum", yet you made no mention of sexism or bigotry.

why is it that obama is racist for courting african americans, but all the other candidates are not sexist or bigoted for courting other voters like women and latinos?thanks in advance!

Nice job of deflection followed by a healthy dose of denigration.
My original statement still stands.
"Can you imagine the backlash if for instance ANY white candidate putting up a like website?"
How about you find me a "White guys for Romney" website & we'll go from there?

While we're at it, is it possible to hold a reasonable discourse without the snide derisive snippets ?
Thank you in advance.

exactly where in my reply did i denigrate you? where was i derisive? i had an actual question that you still haven't answered.

you said:
  • Racism is a fact of politics, its just some (black, latino etc...) are allowed to flaunt it.

my question is, why is it racist to court african americans? if it is, then why is no one calling sexism on campaigns for courting women? why is no one calling bigotry on campaigns for courting latinos?

if you could just back up your assertion and answer my question, that would be much obliged.

I've neither the desire, nor the time to split hairs.
You've picked the second statement in that paragraph even after I pointed out that the crux of my reply was:
"Can you imagine the backlash if for instance ANY white candidate putting up a like website?"

Politics is a dirty disgusting business & simply frustrates me that we are powerless to do anything about it, and yet we buy into the hype.
And that is all politicians are is hype and hypocrites.
Do people court the female vote? - Yes, Latino - yes again, numerous other special interest groups - all day long.
My point was that should a White man openly court the White vote he would be run out of town on a rail for being raciest.
And that is undeniable.

What a surprise a southern racist, a little education does go a long.

The N word meant a person of ignorance, a word that would also be suited well for this cowardly racist.

Rhetoric and manipulative media.

You can blame it on the past, but don't worry they still court the white vote in the way they say certain things... With Reagan it was the "Chicago welfare queen"...Newt saying " Obama is the best food stamp President.. Come on dude are you really trying to tell me that the GOP candidates don't try to get that southern white vote..KEEP IT REAL OR KEEP IT MOVING

They only court the electoral vote, voting for a president as a citizen is like having sex with a condom on. It doesn't count.

Why don't people get this? Even some of the most liberal folks are victims of political garbage.

I used to think similar to you, until I witness Obama become POTUS...then I was like Yeah the citizens vote did count ( you still need the citizen majority to get the electoral vote ) Seeing how the electoral vote reflected the wishes of the people and was carried forth

The popular vote is to be taken in to consideration with your states electoral college, but it's not mandatory. IE Bush. I'm looking at you Florida.

If the people's vote determined the election of a president then the 12th and 14th amendment wouldn't exist.

Ronald Reagan's "states' rights" speech given on August 3, 1980, was his first public address after the Republican National Convention officially chose him as the Republican nominee for the 1980 United States presidential election. The speech drew attention for his use of the phrase "states' rights" at the Neshoba County Fair, just a few miles from Philadelphia, Mississippi, a town associated with the 1964 murders of civil rights workers. Reagan said:

Trust I do understand what you are saying...The popular vote should control the day, but if that was done why would the candidates even need to campaign in your smaller states ??? hell just get about 10 large populated states and you are done. Who the hell would just want Cali,New York, Texas, etc always picking our POTUS. The electoral at least keeps you courting all.

edit..and Bush just out right stole that election and Gore was to pussyfoot to fight for it..
