I wanna grow cactus

The one I have was also sold to a friend as san pedro. He was so excited to bring it to me.
I just laughed and planted it outdoors. It had almost 20 flowers this summer.
I have a shitload of san pedro and peruvian torch and hybrids, none of them look like cereus.

Don't get stung by golden cereus, it stings like a motherfucker.

Not viable to grow from seeds eh? Not sure I agree....Haven't done much else for these except give them a spritz of water every few daze. Added river stones on top; yes I wanted them smaller but that's what I got. Glad to see so many have posted their beautiful cacti. Here's an update on mine:

You are looking at many years before you will have anything worth harvesting.
Growing from a cut, you are looking at 1, maybe 2 years.

Guys do any of you have some experience with grafting
I'm looking to graft Peruvian torch on to Cereus Peruvianus
As well as San Pedro
Cereus Peruvianus grows hella fast and i am hoping that it will make the others grow faster or as fast
Any advice or tips or criticism welcome

Take a cactus throw it on its side, and watch the speed at which the pups grow.
It is exponentially faster than when you grow them upright. I think it is because of the bigger rooting area.

I have grafted only lopho on opuntia, but it is easy. You must make sure it is off centered. Then tape it down and leave it alone in ambient lighting for a month or two. Obviously save and root the top. But in all honesty I wouldn't graft trichos unless you were just trying to learn. Give them adequate root space and they'll grow like crazy with their own root stock.

Yea they seem to creep around the yard every year
