It seems that it's intensity and efficiency of the XT-Es is what the doctor ordered. If we're talking Ebay arrays then multiple XP-Es/XP-Gs are probably good, especially in the Veg arena. Those 120 degree beam angles don't help us. Here's a XP-G2 that I think would work great in the veg room.

Then again some of those Bridgelux based whites arrays are pretty good for the price.

I wonder about all the HK/Chinese Ebay arrays and COBs though. I don't think you can run them at max current without great cooling and binning is almost impossible.
