yeah i asked them about them last week. what we know:

they are electrically same as luminus gen 3
while they have multiphosphor part numbers they dont exist yet, just single phosphor at the current time

they are not in normal distro channels im trying to get 100 of each from luminus, thanks for the reminder ill bug them

citi has similar cobs but they are so weird they are opposed to selling them to weed growers so they are not readily avaialble

luminus better than citi in almost every aspect so id rather rep them anyway

@CobKits I grabbed some of your light engines with some reflectors on the 4th of May. About how long should I expect it to ship to the west coast of America?

per site:
"please allow 2 weeks for assembly and shipping on backordered items."

yours should be next up tho (2x 120mm right?)

this will be the last of the 120mm heatsinks

it looks like these are going to be twice the price of the regular cobs

anybody still interested?
If grams per watt is the criteria, I don't think the horticultural cobs are going to be anywhere near TWICE as productive as your basic 3000K/80CRI cob. What do you think?

I'm thinking of buying a QB304 complete setup (board, heatsink, driver) from Cobkits. Need a dimmable driver as my growspace is limited. Which model of driver should I be looking at?

QB 304 is a 100 volt minimum board, so that should be your first criteria. Then its a matter of how hard you drive it. An HLG185H-C1050b is about perfect for a single board IMO. I've one I use with this and it can drive the board to 135 watts easily. I set mine to run at 110 watts. It makes a stupid amount of light!

@CobKits , when are you going to release a new coupon code to the awesome rockstars of rollitup? I jus seen that you have some ICELED ultra's on your site and what a coincidence, i find myself needing 5 more for a mod to one of my light builds..

Thanks so much for the info, I didn't realize the QB304 had a minimum of 100v, good to know. I was actually thinking to start it around 100v and work my way up, depending on how well I can manage plant height (my growspace is only 4ft vertical space). So the driver you're suggesting would suit my needs well. Is 135v the maximum of the QB304, or is that where the HLG185H-C1050b driver maxes out? Thanks again!

Max voltage forward is about 115V. Here's a chart that shows information on the QB304. Also all you need to know is the minimum voltage as far as driver voltage is concerned, the spec sheets will tell you them minimum the driver will provide. The HLG C series, like the one I reccomended will provided the voltage the board needs automatically. The "dimming" function will adjust the ampeage. here's that spec chart for the QB304

Anyone interested in QB boards should take the time to view the information provided on HLG's website. They provide detailed information on there products there. Then come ask questions here, it would save everyone time raqther than us repeatedly providing this information here. People her can best help after you've done some homework.

I've run one QB 304 with an HLG185H-C1050b, in a small tent. 32"x32"x60" . I ran it @ 115 watts. I grew 4, Dinafem Haze CBD and harvested 140 grams dry. Damn good especially with a strain not known for making much bud! 1.27 gpw. AND that was in organic soil!
