The 315s are supposed to be good, I only just started using them, so can't say myself

Also unless you have a custom space or can do it cheaper a good table like the one pictured earlier in the thread is only somewhere around 140$ from the grow store. It won't leak and is made of food grade materials. Same with the reservoir. If you DIY make sure the materials are food grade.

I just made my tent out of black/white poly plastic. A roll was like 50$ or something.

My shop close to me wants 269.99 for a 4x4 flood table, no fittings or anything. I thought it was absurd

If it's panda film.. You might want to move to Orca... Wow so crazy bright. Every person that had been in may area regularly before pointed out the difference with out me mentioning it... Looks the same In pictures, but that stuff is 100x better and it's 12mm thick... Rip resistant

That is nuts. Homegrown in Ontario has them waaaay cheaper. Shit you could get a whole system for that price for a 4x4, table, res, fittings...pump maybe too lol. www.hydroponics.com

I got mine from Homegrown hydroponics, I think it is no name poly black/white plastic. They have varying thicknesses in the store. I may be unclear about he price (might have been 100$ but no more) but it was 1000 sqfeet roll 10x100.

Orca filum is not even close to the same as black and white poly or had to fill them as it's called. Orca film is ripped plastic that has been crashed onto the sheets creating not only a better reflective surface but it's even I better just abetter diffusion surface so that you do not have any hot spots

I had a roll that was like 100ft wide by 200ft long of Panda film ... Think it was meant to be used for fake grass installs.

It won't ever be used now, I'd never go back

Pretty cool but I could never have afforded to make my 7x14x7 tent outta that stuff lol. It works pretty good for whatever I paid for it. Getting good results so no point in switching, it would cost me way too much. Good to know though.

One more question, i thought i asked already, but i went back through all the posts and dont see a question or an answer.

What are you using for a reservoir? i know you said 100g, but what type of container is it? must be pretty low profile to fit under the table?

It is, it is only 12 inches high. I got it from the grow store. I only see the 4x4 80 gallon on the site. Anyways that would also work for an 8x4.

thanks man. I also use 3/4 inch plywood board under the table sitting on milk crates fwiw...make sure they send you the mushroom siphon valve and the 90 degree elbow fitting for the table.

Orca is overpriced. There are several materials that are just as good.
Hot sports are nonsense.
It is almost physical impossible to create a hot spot. You would need an almost perfect parabola or a magnifying glass to create one.
The lamp is the most 'hot spot' you can have in your room.
The Laws of Physics will tell you that it is not possible to create anything more bright in your room then your lamp. First Law of Thermodynamics. Or again: A magnifying glass or a parabola could dot that. But even if there was a near perfect parabola (then the material would already absorb a lot of the light and thus the reflection of the light would be halved.
Orca and some other brands use the hot spot story in their marketing, but it is BS.

There are several materials that reflect great.

Is the mushroom syphon really necessary?
I mean, when te pump stops wouldn't all the water flow back to your rez anyway?
And an overflow would prevent the tray from overflowing (duh)

Sure, you can do it multiple ways. Homegrown does it this way. The pump does siphon as well. With this setup the overflow is the mushroom siphon valve.

If your suggesting that panda film is even close then I can't agree. I've used both in person as well as maylar and nobody commented about light intensity for years until the date I switched to orca. But obviously this light intensity is the norm now to them.
