Is Elon Musk the anti-christ?

the meltdown is so enjoyable right now.. As soon as they cant dictate a whole platforms outcome by massive censorship, suddenly its the biggest threat to democracy.

Funny how a week ago, the administration had the open opinion that "twitter was a private company, it can do what it wants", and almost overnight suddenly its the biggest threat to democracy and needs to be silenced. Suddenly 'private companies should never have this much reach", when that amount of reach was perfectly fine a few days ago. Don't out yourselves so quickly.

Anyone that relies on these platforms are idiots anyway. i only care what my family, friends and love ones think. No facebook, twitter or anything here, just the real world.

The countdown until "right wing troll" gets thrown around a million times begins now.

Twitter didn't have our best interests at hand before, and it won't going forwards. It was and will be a cesspool of crap.
What's more fun, if it wasn't Twitter it would be another platform. This shit will keep happening as it has since
I think its two different points. They are a private company, they are not obligated to protect or provide freedom of speech. The second part is that they are hugely influential and have sadly become the only source of information for many people. The two don't negate each other.

Personally I don't care. I don't use them. That last paragraph is spot on. They are just companies, it is what they do.

So uhhhhh...are you old? Do you have medicine? If so you should really think about investing in robot insurance. It's the only way to be secure in a robot attack.
As a robot, I took this very personally.

Free speech should be "censored" by rebuttals to the premise, not by the force of politics. It's how people will evolve.
Yeah, but we all know that isn't the case anymore. Correct arguments don't win, the loudest most forceful do.

Ahem... "fuck you doctor bullshit. Think your better than me. I don't give a good God damn about those years you spent with books. You can't tell me what to do, imma drink piss and take horse medicine, the fuck you gonna do about it."

While exaggerated for comic effect, watching people respond to actual experts in the field making recommendations, I have to say that the rebuttals to arguments can be trash and are not going to lead us to evolve.

That is why we need to get rid of the perceived authority of the person as a default "winning argument" and let the veracity of the idea itself become the determinant. That will require some evolving and a move away from political authority. It hasn't happened yet as there is an active force trying to keep people uninformed and misinformed.

You are correct, in the now, the best arguments are stifled, often intentionally.

As far as rebuttals go, it takes an informed and logical person to present a good rebuttal and to recognize one. Some humans seem stuck in shout mode, rather than persuade mode.

Do you think most people are informed or logical as a whole? I think it is quite a bit more than some being stuck in shout mode, like 80+% of the total population seems to be stuck in Idiocracy.

Really though...how are you sitting for some robot insurance? Its the only way to be safe. They are gonna make you wear shoes in 7-11.

Twitter and Facebook shouldn’t be aloud to be privately owned or have a sole director as Facebook has a board of directors but none have the ability to overrule zuckerburg in any decision no matter how big or how small Twitters the same no one person should have that much oversight in platforms that huge and influential

I think most people are misinformed and that critical thinking is intentionally discouraged by those who benefit from it.
That's the present, logic tells me for that to be overcome, as frustrating as it can be, better ideas must be continually presented. even when it seems that the audience isn't receptive.

I'm good for now on the robot insurance, but I'll keep you in mind. I don't wear shoes and have a thick pad on the bottoms of my feet. impervious to everything.

I can walk on hot coals!

Did you read the my previous post? Then youd know what I was referring too. Anyways we're living in the 2000s, anyone can find videos of the daily white house press breifings.

I may have missed the meaning. But the same thing stands. We do like links, just shows a person cares about their fellow poster. It, as I said, gets people on the same page. I do not watch WH briefings. If it does not make it into print it is not all that important.

ts quite hilarious. Currently the left is mad....and im not making this up....they are mad that a political candidate could be censored or banned on titter. Or that opposing view points could be censored, shadow banned, or manipulated by private algorithms. Especially during the mid term elections. Hypocrites are disgusting chomos.
Nope, still would like a link.

He is about to directly control the minds of 369 million people with his acquisition of twitter. Oligarchy is real.

Just a disturbing reality I wish people to understand or contemplate. Too few tell you what to think, do and be.

I'll enjoy the responses as I have no intent to engage sheeples.
Trump loved the Dictator/Oligarch model..are you saying Trump is wrong?

No, actually. I have hewn to the rules of English grammar. Your failure of recognition does not obviate the fact of it.
Really, so "For whom is it wrong?" Isn't the right way to use "whom", and you're totally correct in using it the way you phrased it?

Mmmmmmkay, lol.

Most say “for who”; are you among those benighted?
Or are you going for the big brass ring of fail and using the trailing preposition? Popular usage does not equal correct usage; consider the ubiquitous phrase “it’s me”.

No one is talking about the money here. $25B of it is in the form of 4.5-5% loans. The interest will be more than the platform has been making in revenue, This may be Elon's undoing.
