Joe Biden announces he is running for president in 2020

Hey you are the one who brought up physical appearance as a detractor. Now face the music. Why is a woman's age and appearance a detractor to you but not a man's?
this is now the lazy response I expect. It is an obvious fact, Grandma's in pantsuits don't tend to electrify an electorate, someone like Warren who has some of the most poignant policy proposals and and incredible platform is low in the polls, while Biden is pretty much tied with Sanders... This proves my point. The electorate are indeed more likely to vote for old men. I know how s xist the electorate is, which is why pragmatically I would look to form a coalition with Warren supporters and Gabbard supporters and Sanders supporters to try and push the most progressive and visionary platform possible, that way cosmetics mean very little in a voters decision. I only support Sanders as an ancillary service to the overall, IMO necessary restructuring of our political party to favor labor, environment, science and education. Bernie checks all those boxes. Warren too, and Yang and Gabbard.

where did I say it was a personal detractor? LOL

Keep spinning Bernie bro.

I get that you are disappointed that Sanders and Warren's radical policies aren't well accepted by most US voters. Their problems aren't due to pantsuits or white hair. Their problem is they haven't done the work to convince people to support them. Warren might get my vote in the primary but I don't expect her to win the nomination any more than I do Sanders. I don't care much for Biden. But then again, I only once voted for a candidate in the Democratic primary who won. By how people have voted in the past few elections, the US electorate is more conservative than you say it is.

I need a third party. The failure of this election might make that a reality. If this is the level of solidarity I can expect from Democrats, the fucking proto-fascists and white supremacists will win again in 2020. The inability to grasp this is one of the most cruel jokes ever told. Middle grounds are where John Kerry, Al Gore, Hillary and the establishment lay down to rot.

As far as blacklisting of consultants who work for candidates that are primarying an incumbent Republican? The RCCC has every legal right to do that and it's in their charter to expand Republican held seats in congress. Its not a conspiracy if its a stated policy out there for everybody to see. When you run as an outsider, don't expect help from the insiders. Yet your kind cry bloody murder when you find out that the RCCC is about supporting the strongest candidates, not the ones you want. That entitled attitude runs deep in the so-called Republican camp.

sigh

You are the one who is saying if you don't get your candidate you'll just let Trump win. Now you are crying about white supremacists winning in 2020? All the while saying you'll enable that?

"give me Bernie or I'll give you Trump"

fuck that.

You have to make shit up in order to justify your belief that the Progressive movement is growing. If you look at how people are voting, most people are middle of the road conservative. It's not that they oppose change but they want it to be done well, are skeptical of grand solutions and take time to come around to new ideas.

The ACA was crafted quickly and narrowly slipped through the crack of a closing door just before the obstructionist Republican Congress came into power. It was vilified early on but people eventually came to support it and now Republicans in contested districts treat it like a high power line. They don't touch it. 9-years from "hate Obamacare" to don't you dare repeal the ACA. These movements take time and push too hard, people push back. You have it backwards. The US public isn't thirsting for rapid change, they thirst for good government and incremental well managed change. Republicans have shown they are inept at governing. Democrats have to take advantage of that opening.

Do you have a point?

What do you think political contests are? Some kind of kids soccer event where everybody gets a trophy? Too funny that Bernie Bros think all they need to do is show up and get support. If one runs as an outsider don't expect help from the insiders you are trying to unseat.

Is this where you say "it's not fair"?

It's good that at least now you admit to how the cheating works. I remember before, you denied it took place entirely.

You're the one claiming that if the establishment's choice doesn't win, you won't vote for Sanders..

"Give me the establishment or I'll give you Trump!"
Never said that. I'm not voting for Sanders in the primary. If he wins -- and I don't think he has a chance -- I'll vote for him. I vote according to my values in the primary and tactically in the general. Everybody should do that.

I think you and your sock should get together and come up with a better conspiracy theory for how the primary in 2020 was rigged against Sanders. You know, something that doesn't claim that white men are able to resist being manipulated while women, black people, and Hispanic people are weak in that regard. Also some evidence to back it up would be good too.

It's not cheating for the DCCC to follow its charter. Its charter is to expand Democratic control of Congress. They see primarying as a threat to seats already held by a Democrat. They openly say, if you want to primary a candidate, don't look to us for help. If you want to unseat a Democrat, nobody is stopping you, just don't look to the DCCC for help. This isn't game for children where everybody gets appreciated.

Women, black people, and hispanic people support Sanders at a higher rate than men and white people..

You need to excuse yourself and come back to reality..

keep smearing folks for differences in belief. It suits you, a lazy attempt at excusing the best the Dems can offer is romneycare under the current leadership. Obama had the votes and momentum. Makes you wonder why it never happened. Maybe the rot I was talking about early is just a lie.

This is the kind of analysis you are known for.

Where did you get this idea that the DCCC was some sort of neutral fund for any Democrat who wants to run? I'm perfectly fine with Democrats coming together to attempt to primary an incumbent and support a candidate they agree with. That's how its supposed to work. The charter for the DCCC is:

  • the only political committee in the country whose principal mission is to support Democratic House candidates every step of the way to fortify and expand our new Democratic Majority.
Get it? Expand our new Democratic majority. Go form your own PAC. Actually, Sandes did. It's called Our Revolution and it's a flop. Time for you so called Progressives to figure out why.

Is that what you think it is. False assumtions make you feel high and mighty.

Don't forget, I'm a puppet. A 'sock'. Lmao. you aren't worth the effort. I see you all with amusement and dip my toe in and you lose your shit. Every few months it's the same response, something really gave y'all ptsd. It wasn't like this back in 2011-2012. Echo Chambers create a false sense of security.

Passage of the ACA was a narrow thing. There was no chance that a single payer system or other universal healthcare plan passing in 2010. The original bill in the senate had a public option for people to choose and it had the option for people approaching retirement age of 65 to buy in. Both were opposed by Democratic Senators, without whom the bill could not be passed. The final version made it through a narrow margin to avoid filibuster.

You guys are just making shit up. Also Bernie lied about it when he said exactly what you just did during the campaign in 2016. The ACA has made healthcare accessible to tens of millions of people who did not have it before it went into law. Nor would they have that insurance if Democrats had tried to push a more comprehensive bill through. That kind of intransigence by your kind explains why Bernie hasn't gotten one damn thing done in his 14 years as a Senator. Unless you want to count changing the name of a Post Office as a grand achievement.

If you actually want to know the facts about passage of the ACA, you can find them here:

History Lesson: How the Democrats pushed Obamacare through the Senate

The Democrats who worked to pass that bill have NOTHING to apologize for and deserve no criticism for it not meeting an unrealistic expectation of yours.

Yeah, come back in a couple of months and share your false conspiracy theory about why the "progressives" are failing.

Do better than before.
