Leaf damage? Dtw coco

Gosh damn so back tracking I already consumed the bad plant and whats left in hash is the soso plants. Rootballs look like this and only had one top of like two nugs wilt but the rest of that top was good. Was good which normally it spreads fast and takes out entire colas fast in one light cycle. I guess due to the damage in the rootzone it gets cut out of nutrients and maybe water, shit idk goes to show how much I know.

It says it stays in rootzone but in extreme cases it moves up the plant. Then another search saying its systemic in plants and animals humans. Is the vascular system the stem and branches I thought? Its not even mold its a freakin parasite which makes this trippy and gross.

I was told at that time just cut it out and take the rest but others in this situation would probably toss all of it. Its just another situation where I got to harvest and have the rootballs shown here and only a nug wilted and died. Its what Im consuming the rest of right now as I realize this a moment ago.

Yea some leafs going yellow which is a sign its next but whats unusual is it didnt wilt and die in one light cycle. Was gradual over a week or two so could be something else. Ive seen root balls like this or little worse but depends some use additives that do that like recharge. Not to say I didnt have pythium but those fading leafs might of been unrelated.

Here is the worst rootball and a rootball off a clone next to that plant same strain with less gnats and almost no suspicious signs. Only a tiny twig cola turning a weird yellow/purple. To compare to the rootballs Im wondering if Im safe to consume as non biased as possible.

Forget about everything and what I would “like” and focus on reality, should I consume it or not? Ive tossed enough to not care at this point its a sport and part of the game.

I dont see gnats on the 4 day old clones other ones. I noticed a outbreak in the 3/3 by day 10 which likely started by day 6 or so I just wasnt looking till the other day. Thats good I think. Maybe try feeding with athena ipm or lost coast, might be worth saving!

Super bleached the trays should for now on each cycle. Get any pythium off the ground where pots rest. About to plant some clones hopefully it works. Cant just panty hose it later but from the start.

Clearly the copper delayed rooting on the cuts damnit or its the fact it went through one flower darkness cycle or both. Has to be. Its day 12 no roots but theres substantial resistance when pulling them and can pull them right out the cubing in tray. I didnt pull the cuts out of the actual root puck because from what Ive seen they root faster the less you mess with it.

Might just be delayed or might need to reveg one of my clones ugh. It normally roots day 10 and has a nice beard by day 14 its day 12.

Yea just a quick search its the copper and Ive cloned so many times by now. Will they root you think? You think it will be a healthy plant eventually if it does? Should I just reveg a clone while I can? Im thinking so, and use lost coast to treat gnats and clone from that.

I think Il cave in to finally air layering. I just didnt like the idea for some reason but its worth it now. This pheno is real important but I could break the habbit if I switch to a different strain that may compare and be something new. I am suffering from what some do with not enough veriety. Been dabbing this for like 6 months thats about what it takes to get sick of it but daaamn like I have that luxury.

Think Im gonna put one clone 4 days into flower back downstairs and air layer like 4 clones now that I have pm. Its matter of time before it gets into the cloner and ruins cuts that way and this copper issue. Its toxic to young plants so maybe these wont root idk.

Maybe I can yank one out to see if its in the pre stages of rooting if so maybe I can just let it ride. I think I need to switch to AL or itll bite me at some point when I have the advantage of no infections down stairs. Keep it that way. Shiiit idk why AL bothers me but when my way dont work its like whatever with the benefits I had at that time when I have threats.

My whole garden has changed so its like meh so can my cloning routene. I hate waiting for roots that take a month and babying the root puck but maybe with some saran wrap I can make it work.

Man I think Im trippin as I look again its showing signs of rooting. The air layering though idk how I would keep high temps it might be too cold and take a while them the problem of when it roots I guess not a problem but you have to cut it. Before the branch grows way too long as, if it takes a month to root that will be a long branch.

Maybe can bonsai it on the branch until its rooted enough to cut it off, I want to avoid having to strap media around it. To water and also worry about gnats. Or figuring that out in general but I know they make pots for that but gnat proofing will be expensive or maybe easier. When considering you need to gnat proof it anyway can just tie off panty on both ends.

I just might struggle with the dipper putting those in there and not shifting to only pounce at the walls of pot or only on one side. Might have to do it or I might see that copper can be used or something less harsh in the current clone method but Im not liking it, clearly stunting the plants. Though all these cuts came from a stressed cut and then stressed again waking like 5-6wks to root which was wow.

So Im nervous to AL because losing warm temps from heat pad even the slightest loss of heat I had cuts take forever to root. Them suddenly took off. Might do both ideas Im only losing like 15gs hash to save a valuable mother.

You can use smaller cut up panty hose sections as the wrapping material to keep gnats out of the air layer medium too. Yep, tie it off on both ends, like a tootsie roll around the branch and coco. Then carefully poke an industrial syringe tip through the fabric to water, or just pour some on till you get runoff or however you can. Or put a small tube in through one of the ends, just like your DTW feed lines with your goop. Then leave a little plug in the line when your not pumping in solution. I like treating them just like a DTW, with mini feed lines and pump, so I can automate it.

I didn't know about copper fungicides causing rooting issues. I know it shouldn't really be an issue contamination wise though, if you only use it on the moms. As far as ending up in the final product, anyway. AL should fix any rooting issues you're having, but yeah it can take a little longer sometimes. At least its a sure deal though, and roots 99.99% of the time IME. Even on plants that have root rot 10x worse than your dealing with. I've saved really bad plants a few times with AL method. You can propagate huge clones, so that kinda makes up for some time.

Im gonna do that I just needed to think that through I just am habitual but things change. Heres my big clone with the fan over head day 12 flower yesterday no pm. Just keep defolling. 24/7 fan on, on 2nd of 3 settings. Not bad but ya need to time it but lazy frantic trying do the most important things first go from there.

Need to some how get the adults when I treat it with lost coast for gnats. Just gonna go small buy a small bottle not dump too much into this right now. After just barely finishing getting setup only to find I need a major 300$ tweak.

Ok I reread the instructions on the FG experiment thread I didnt really let it sink in my times been limited. Lots of issues but I think were getting somewhere. I might just save my flower crop even if it has some gnats. This big clone has a good fest goin on but the rest are super early to treat might not even have any gnats. All is sailing smoothly atm. Gonna get athena and cap dead bug for spraying but idk how Il get them through the panty.

Any suggestions tips tricks to strengthen the cell walls in leafs? Im reading silicon, calcium and reduced nitrogen will help is that true? How can I do that with maxibloom? Im always overfeeding a bit .5 ec tap and 1.3ec maxibloom. Could this be bad?

People say maxibloom is pretty much the best but jacks is better though would require complex help likely from the manufacture themselves I was told. Also that I could learn these things better and figure it out diy or just these issues in general.

Says some strains can be naturally resistant through this but I dont think I have that cultivar. Also dont think any strain is truly mold proof maybe landraces and even then.

I pulled a cutting out and yea its behind stunted just swollen like it does then grow roots but idk if it will. Im done with that anyway Its done. I pulled a clone to mom it again its in veg room with fan same way Ive been doing with fan beside up high. Going to start air layering tomorrow in case it takes a while and if it does Im starting to see how flexible AL is.

It flowered for 5 days so it will reveg a bit.

The better airflow with your new fans will help aid in tranporting the calcium to where it needs to go, and make for stronger branches and cells. Silica never made much of a difference IME, and just jacked the PH around. You would have to use it full time to even gain any benefits, as it takes a long time for the plant to make use of it. I Haven't tried the newer more bio available forms though.. If you were gonna feed it, I wouldn't mix it in with the res. Just shut off the main pump to your feed lines, and manually mix up a batch and top feed it once in awhile, along with a low EC nutrient solution. Foilar spray it the rest of the time.

Im gonna need heat probably and oof 66rh is high now that I know what pm is like idk if thats good the rh. I can dehuey the space but damn its gonna get costly its in basement long big room with open door for pets. So its tough to probably even keep 45rh maybe 50-55 is ok and will heat up space a bit. Il need use my generator for sure when power goes out.

Thats fine just nervous never used it yet lucky by coincidence but it does go out often enough to worry.

Space heaters need 3’ from flammables temt is 5x3 if it includes behind the space heater I probably cant. I dont think so. I might try that eco heat bar thing thats only 50w and up for green houses seems safe idk how to use it though so maybe its just as bad. Any suggestions let me know unless AL isnt the same as putting a cut in a rootriot in a cool area which for me means 4 wks plus to root and might not even root.

I could try hps with digital ballast. Those are safe and tent is big enough.

Then I guess I need to cut a hole in pot with panty on the branch early so when it roots I can slide that up with coco and make the new rootzone. I think its simpler if I just cut it like a cutting after it beards in saran wrap and plant it when ready?

I would go ahead and use syran wrap for the ALs, around the coco or root riot cubes or whatever medium you use, then put the extra tied off panty hose layer over that if you are worried about any gnats getting in. You can still poke in with a syringe to inject solution through it, or add small pieces of tubing or whatever with goop around it..

AL'ing isn't like taking cuttings because you can still keep them in veg\motherplant growing conditions, with moderate intensity of light and fans going. The inner layers that you are careful not to cut or scrape away still transport water.

Regular plant cuttings usually require a milder environment, and sometimes vented domes with really high humidity. ALs can still grow on as normal while waiting for roots though. I've sometimes had to wrap them up, but only because I snapped the branch down below, or cut big AL clones away before the root system was developed enough to support itself without the moms help.

Does that include temps of 66f or should I add heat? Would you be worried of rh of 60% plus for pm or would you use another dehuey if you had one? I do its just for drying and back up for flower room.
