I can se clearly now, my money is gone!View attachment 2803620So I got an email back from the Bysen LED people, who are making the Helios look a like. The lady basically said in broken English type "for the exact chip model, ourRaw material director said it's a secret unless the customer had ordered our lights or are selling our item in their marke" Which of course makes one a bit weary!!! However she did say this "For helios series light, in the centre of each cluster 460nm:630nm= 1:7 we use cree led as lighting source and around 660nm:470nm:640nm:440nm=6:2:2:2 we use epistar led as lighting source" which attests to them trying to copy the Helios Basic spectrum that is posted on their web site that. She quoted me prices that are 1/3 that of Helios...Only problem is I have never even seen anyone saying that they ran a Helios grow. So it goes!!!
Yea, supposedly the Cree's are only in the center, but with epistar as well it sounds nice. Man, it's tempting to take a chance. And ya, havn't really heard anyone barking about Helios. I like that they disassemble easy too. I have not heard back from the Helios website. You think Bysen stole the tech or that Helios was just reselling? the Helios website says they are based in Canada.View attachment 2803620So I got an email back from the Bysen LED people, who are making the Helios look a like. Yea, just a "small" markup. I hear what you're saying though. The Helios facebook has videos of them demoing units and talking about features as if they made them, but I'm more inclined to believe you since they have not emailed me back. They don't seem to want to answer my questions lol. It's pretty common in all areas of business for people to rush into manufacturing with a pending patent and have their tech stolen so I thought maybe that was the case here. Needless to say I find it surprising that they originate from China with name brand parts even if they are low bin.Bysen is the manufacturer of the Helios panel. Their is no look a like/knockoff/copy because BYSEN patented the module in CHINA and have sued other factories who copy it. The helios website in Canada is just reseller marking it up by 300% for a "small" profitlol Cree in the center (1watt low bin ) Is just for hype and I doubt they use anything decent around them either; Bysen's direct pricing @ a PROFIT should tell you everything.....but that secondary lens makes up for it!!! ha...not
I've only seen one grower run the helios under the "raptor usa" name and he did quite well with them.............reliability is the issue though, it's your $$$ and your call. They are better built than most china stuff though and honor the 3 yr warranty.
Here I stole these links from some dick in Scotch's link threadI'd love some other interesting threads about led to read, if u may send a link.. thanks![]()
Only if you have a medical condition. How nice! Time to roll a joint and have some knowledge acquirement..
Appreciate it!
I click in this website and found that the price is 500+, did you miss the activity of this site? (like some 50% off activity)has anyone purchased from msledstore.com? they have Helios 210W lights with 8w Cree's for 229+ international shipping (bout 50 bucks to the US). I looked up the helios website and they want 500 + shipping for the same light. Can someone please look at this link and give me some opinions on whether it seems legit? I'm skeptical, but the prices are rock bottom. I'm not advertising. I just ordered a pair of Kessils but now I see this and I may cancel/return. http://www.msledstore.com/210-watt-helios-led-plant-lamp-indoor-hydroponic-grow-light-h160d.html
yea, looks that way. I went and checked the link they are $388 now instead of $229. They were not listed as being on sale when I originally posted about themI click in this website and found that the price is 500+, did you miss the activity of this site? (like some 50% off activity)
