Would've loved to do the Cycloptics Greenbeams instead, but at some point money does become a factor. Hope I don't regret not getting them!
I really wonder how big of a difference(gain) the cycloptics reflector is? For that price diff.......idk

Wish grower house would buy one and test the output vers the sun systems!

Growershouse is a great site and their work/test they do are better than anyone else. I use them for comparison data so much.

But I have a thought that came after reading their 300w-400w alternative lighting. GH has access to many top brand LED's...but didn't use them in the test. My theory is that they can't publicly put down HPS/MH/sunlight supply/hydrofarms...they are their biggest suppliers and showing that their products are not the best, is bad business possibly for GH. LED's aren't a sale mans best friend if they work like they are supposed to.

It's just a theory, but it makes sense.

I agree with you GG........still don't know how they came up with those par average #.s??.......something is up

I still won't forget their ballast comparison where they showed a mag ballast getting 39%!! less output than the digis

hmmmmmm someone wants people to upgrade!!;-)

^^ completley on it, ppl forget the business aspect of branded panel (whether chinese or quality, and no not you psu, you know..)

I had pointed out GH had adjusted their height measurements on their site for your AT600's coverage.. You can watch the video at 32" chart, and now the picture states 30" (I believe?) When in all reality- it probably better performs better higher instead of lower. (like you have stated), Only reason it rubbed me wrong was they had not adjusted the coverage #s.

Now, if this was a simple oops! moment, cool. but like you said, we are dealing with a distributor on a macro level and ties to the market... and being one you can not make those kind of errors. Shouldve left it if that were the case. I do completely agree with the HID Market, they are still releasing better ballasts, better hoods.. and until the Alternatives (EDFL, CMH, and LED) get mainlined and SEEN, represented, and proven, people are just not going to dig in

...sucks thats the case.. I had taken down my camera with some "clean shots" yesterday of the 3x3 with the AT200 to give the hydro store an idea what I can cover w/ 167w and they were blown away, my panel(S) are neck and neck with the 400 mh and 600 hps they had in there on my PPFD Meter, they sold the SS200- but I am pushing them to get some alternative light sources in there.

btw, if you happen to have a killawatt meter, will you test your 200 for me?

Has any one heard of the company AlphaLite? Plasma's? Look pretty sharp.. saw it in the new Max. Yield Mag, of course the AT600 is in :blsmoke:

EDIT: some info, their SPD looks too good to be true, but they do give umol/m2/s in the one page advertising they have... o.0

.35m= 4-600
.5m= 2-350

I'm not sure. It seems like a nice little unit, and the 8 lbs. would be nice as well, but for the price difference, I could buy another Sun System unit. So at this point, it would have to be MUCH better to be worth it. And I'm sure Sun System has done their homework. But they still intrigue me...

Now that's how you build an led panel. Love that you can move and tilt each bar independently!!, really nice. Both BML and illumitex are from texas hmmmmm very similar design.

who's buying one and doing a grow with it on here????
tell cococola.

I'd love to try. it would be at least around mid summer before I could afford it. Still 2 more a51's and cree globes ( wont have room for hans side lighting) to grab. I will have an unused 5x5 space after adding a51's. I'm hoping to win the ig 200 to set up another veg.

I used their lighting for my first grow and talked to them a lot before I purchased to make sure I was comfortable with their product. Here is my link.... https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/786785-first-time-grow-68-days.html

I bought my lights before they had their hort site up and before the arrayed fixture was available. I have 6, 3’ fixtures with essentially the same spectrum as the Gro Max. I have my set up in my house. Ambient temperature is 70F and the fixtures run about 90F.

Here is some info about the company... http://www.bmlhorticulture.com/about-us/

I googled some info on the founders... http://www.linkedin.com/pub/nick-klase/13/b40/9

Did someone say cococola? And new awesome looking light? hahaha (evil grin) I hate the temptation but i love it and the fact that you can custom spectrum..I might contact them about an a array with 50/50 ratio 3500k/5000k for my veg area

These lights look spectacular in concept. Looks like it could absolutely smoke Apache on price to cover a 4x4 area. If it works well, this panel could allow me to ditch every other light I own.

Bold statement

They are the same price $/watt, so don't get so excited. Apache is $2K for 685w of well backed and proven lights, and BML 333w for $1K from a guy who used to work for illumitex then ripped them off.
It might be a good 3x3 light, but I don't see it keeping up with a apache or a 1k hps in a 4x4, BML=20w/sqft , Apache=42w/sqft, 1000hps=63w/sqft

Let's not for get about the par outputs. BML says they get 2200µmols@12" when all bars are pushed together. What will it do when they are spaced out to cover a 4x4??? And are they meant to be ran at 12" or where??? and what lens angle is that measurement with? And what about the exterior coverage par readings??

EDIT:
Not that anyone could know how good an apache is since their website is probably the most lacking of any. But I own a few and a meter so can see the numbers and results in person.
