Talk about a caged beast....Second run with the mystery lady. Half way through flower. 200w of 3500k Vero 29C. And 2sq foot of space. View attachment 4008142 View attachment 4008143
You can see in that table - the lower the current, the higher is efficacy. My thoughts are - buy as much cobs as you can afford and run them on lower amps.Hey guys, I plan to create a led fixture with 4 vero 29 gen 7 C 3000k 80 cri, can anyone help me with choosing what driver and how many watts to use. Im lost to why people dont use higher w and ma, that in my starter eyes looks like would be more efficient.
Im in Brazil so Im trying to buy as less amount of equipment because it will need to be imported from usa. So wouldnt I get more out of my lights (even if spending more money in energy) running them 3500ma?You can see in that table - the lower the current, the higher is efficacy. But to run maximum power wouldnt the ma also be in the same as v ? Like in the table of vero that I posted earlier. The maximum would be 3420 ma - 74.4v - 254wIf you do not care about electric bills, use less cobs and run them on higher amps.
Get bridgelux simulator tool, look at voltage and amps. If driver has, for example, range 50v - 100v, then you can run everything within this range, for example, 3 x 30V leds, 2x 26V, 1x 90V etc.
I do not know anything about Veros, but as I can see, You could run 2x cobs (68V (i guess)) on c2800 (maximum power can be used on this driver).
2x cobs wont run on c3500 , because it would exceed drivers 137V range. (You could run one cob on this driver @ 3500ma)
and c2100 could run 3x veros at their (veros) maximum power.
It's a nice passive fixture with some great single emitters, proven R/W spec........ don't like the secondary optics imo. Someone had a journal going on in here? I think ? couple of months back.guys whats you opinion on telos from grownorthern? https://gn.uk/
I remmember that someone said that xp3 cree or how is it called are specially made for growing..
room temp is entirely dependent on the wattage you put in there and the biggest heatsinks in the world wont make it any coolerTurned on 10x cobs @ 0.8 amps in a 1.80 x 1.70m x 1.80m room (test mode). No intake, no exhaust. In one hour temperature built up from 19 to 24 celsius. Will leave for a night and see what happens I use 180mm (1 heatsink for 1 cob) passive coolers. The largest I could get on kingbrite. Please, pray for my room, so I dont end up with 30 or more degrees tommorow
I know that,my 400w of cobs raises my tent temp by 6.5croom temp is entirely dependent on the wattage you put in there and the biggest heatsinks in the world wont make it any cooler
