Mahout Issues for Months

I’ve had issues with my plants for months. Stunted growth brown curling tips. Growing in promix HP with added perlite. My room flooded after a failed sump pump in my basement and plants were saturated with ground water. That started a month battle just to get them to dry out. I tossed the majority of my large plants save a few clones I really wanna save. Scrubbed my room bleached it along with pots. My new seedlings and a few I managed to save appeared to regain some health for a week only to stunt again. They’ve been drying out well for the past two weeks now but still appear to be going downhill. Currently feeding 500 ppm Remo pH 6.5

They were doing pretty decent before the flood, I did have pH issues and had to flush right before the flood so they were overwatered even with 40% perlite, they didn't drain well it took almost 3 weeks to dry out and its been a battle since, I know I have root rot, not sure if my water is the source on top of the flooding as i'm on a well and have had issues in the past with bacteria etc. Tap water is 165 ppm, I have no RO, I was considering microdosing 1-5 ppm chlorine in the res before using. Seems the problem is worse when I use my water vs. spring water bought at a store...Reallly hoping to save some of my genetics that I've paid alot for...

Alright, here's what we are going to do. The plants are fine and will rejuvenate once you straighten them out.

I don't think it's your tap water, but your ph. Looks too alkaline. Can you do a runoff test quick?

Just one plant will suffice. Just enough runoff to fill a small glass enough to test. Not a drench.

I just ran the clone who’s roots are shown above which have drastically died off and it came out at 6.42. This clones is probably 5-6 weeks old and almost no growth. My seedlings are showing spotting and yellowing now too.

I would buy another bale an transplant your roots r pissed can u collect some rainwater or snowmelt

Ok, then it very well could be your water. I know we had flooding here and my brother wound up with ecoli in his well. Could be bacterial.

Either way, they are hungry and are going to need some nutes, may be the only problem. Since your ph is good, I suggest a 1/4 strength dosage, with just a little runoff, barely any.

If after a day or 2, anything worsens, it's whatever is in the ppm of your water.

I'd like to think they are just hungry, but you still might opt to get your water tested for your safety.

I’ve transplanted most of them to fresh sterilized pots and fresh media with more perlite, feeding 500-700ppm , some are showing light top burn and bad deficiencies, I may try some snow melt in the meantime. I bought some bleach to possibly dose my Rez at 1-5 ppm before use. Standard practise in a lot of hydro setups but not sure about soil...

oh sorry thought u hand watered in promix like me.snowmelt-rain is all I use here my hand dug well not good for plants

Not to be a jerk but you admit you had pH issues, you admit to a flood, you admit to having a questionable water supply, you admit to having root rot and you admit to the plants being in wet pots for 3 weeks....all of this does not bode well for you and your efforts.

Just based on the pics your plants are short on Mg for starters. Perhaps before you do anything else you can fix / repair / prevent the above issues first, then worry about what's next.

You mentioned having a reservoir...how are you storing your nutrients in this reservoir? Is your pH holding in your feed during the time it sits in this reservoir?

And unless you can confirm the pH of your 'snow melt' I wouldn't add it to your mix...you have enough variables going on right now. You don't need more to consider.

Just my two cents....good luck.

I’m trying to seek advice which is why I stated all said issues. I monitor my ph with a calibrated Hanna and backup religiously, some of my plants don’t even appear to have terrible roots they just are not growing. I’m feeding pretty heavy and consistent with recharge in between each feeding. I’ve been growing for ten years and have never experienced what I’m currently experiencing. I mix my batch of nutes and airfare for a few hours or overnight, adjust ph again before feeding incase or minor drift. I’ll get some pictures

I’m feeding heavy on cal mag close to 250 ppm usually, it just seems like the plants roots keep dying and they can’t uptake enough food to thrive, I’ve even dusted some of them outside with micorhizae which appeared to help for a few days before those roots died off.
