None of your examples are analogous to my example. The self deception in organized religion causes enough people to replace reality with whatever their particular flavor mandates to affect others that don't share the same beliefs. It causes people to deny the theory of evolution, to organize against abortion rights and murder doctors who perform them, to oppose equal civil rights for minorities and homosexuals, etc. The list is endless. Watching porn, reading a book or watching a movie does none of those things.
Self deception in regards to organized religion is dangerous. Where is the benefit of believing the world is only 6,000 years old, or that humans didn't evolve like every other life form on Earth? What about believing that homosexuality is a sin punishable by death? Or that women are second class citizens in a mans world? This stuff is dangerous.
The Amish fall into the exact same category, it doesn't matter if they don't commit terrorist attacks like other organized religions do, they're still just as harmful to the individual as the rest because they abandon reality for belief.
And yes, it reaches my front door. Is that fair?
