Stella is big and bushy enough that I can't get her in and out of the grow without rubbing her. I sat down in front of a fan and moments later all the smell that rubbed off on me hit me in the face and I went "oh shit what's wrong with Stella!" before I realized it was me. And that I need to shower before I leave the house, but only right before because I think I smell delicious!
All of the seedlings have been topped for clones and are in flower. The DRs and the Jacks are on day 1 and the Midases are on day 2. Stella is on day 29 and the AK x JH is on day 32.
We'll start with the DRs.
I topped DR3 above the third node for a clone and to experiment with how many nodes I leave when I top. This round I did four plants with three nodes and the other two with two. Next time with seedlings I'll try four, five, and six nodes. I should get a female of each. The DRs are still in party cups because they were the last plants to go into flower and there wasn't space, they'll get upcanned to 1qt containers when they show sex.
DR4 topped for four UB style, one cola was starting to dominate so I trained it down but the other three are really even.
Both Jacks were topped above the third node.
Here's J0
Here's J1 (I've grown the strain J1 before and the smell of this reminds me of the J1, they're similar genetics so it's not surprising)
M3, I really hope this is a female, I've been super impressed with the vigor of these plants and this one seems more vigorous and less stretchy than the other one. I've noticed males tend to stretch more, but the father of these is a Trainwreck X Neville's Haze F2 bxed to the NH twice so stretch is probably going to be a relative term :
And M4 was topped for four
Here's the AK x JH 32 days in. I took off the bottom 3 nodes because they weren't going to amount to shit, I should have done that a few weeks ago before any energy was wasted.
Stella is still doing well. I MIR (flush and feed) the other day on her and the AK x JH because she was having a few issues on lower leaves and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a media problem because she shouldn't be having any deficiencies. If anything I should be feeding a bit less.
Here's Drue being female. I noticed that the STS I was using had developed somewhat so I made fresh and added another layer of tinfoil over the sprayer to keep light out. This morning I saw a few brown pistils so hopefully the fresh STS is working! I keep the room as dark as possible while spraying and do it about 30 mins before lights out so I can put him back in right after lights out so the brief interruption of darkness is kept to a minimum and has the least possible impact on the girls.
But there's still lots of female flowers starting.
