It's two weeks today for Stella. I'm pleased with her size. I'll probably need to figure out how to support her a bit.


Cu is still stretching a little but it looks to be slowing and she's about a week ahead of where she was the first time.

The seedlings are doing well, I'll get pics next time they need water. The Midas are showing the best vigor but everyone is doing well.

I got my silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate! Tomorrow I mix up some STS and put the Blue Dream "male" into flower. I'm so excited!

Lots of pictures today. First is some pics of making STS, it's pretty much weigh something, dissolve in water, weigh other thing, dissolve in water. Pour solution A into solution B and stir thoroughly. Dilute 10x and spray plant to undergo gender reassignment. I pictured everything you need but safety glasses because those were on my face and you're not seeing that. These are safe chems but a splash of silver nitrate or STS in your eye will leave you a permanent reminder as soon as it gets hit by sunlight! You can get a disposable pair at the Home Depot for like <$5. If you like to shoot you should already have a decent pair but if you don't I advise you to get a good pair. If you shoot regularly you're much more likely to be kept safe from harm by those glasses than that gun. It drives me nuts when I see people with thousands of dollars worth of firearms talking about self defense and wearing shit eye wear!

And the veg girls except the Blue Dream and I'm mainlining (she didn't need water yet) and my BD mom (she's not very exciting, imagine a too large plant in a too small cup that's been cut a lot of times).
So here's the AKxJH girl in veg. I want to wait to top for 8 tops to give her longer before she needs flipping. I'm not liking this method with my veg space. Much easier to grow a few multiple cola plants and train them. When I get a second tote on top of this one I'll try to do it again.

And Midas 3 who is the most vigorous seedling of the group. It's forming it's 5th node while the next best plants are just doing their 4th. I hope this is a girl!

Stella is actually quite shotrt. I'd say she's between 12"-15" above the rim of the pot. I have her raised to keep a semi even canopy. I think Cu may get tossed this round. Too many plants that might not try to stretch to the moon coming up.
Edit: I missed your second comment Racer. There's at least going to be the AKxJH in there that will get pollinated. I'll try to gather some BD pollen to practice pollen collection but if this is as easy as it seems then I won't really need to store it because it'll be easy to make.

oh yeah, you're right.. i was reading the descriptions above each pix and thought it was for the pix below, not the other way around.. yeah, it was the cu that was a stretch miser...

Last run I had to supercrop her because she was hitting the cooltube. This run she's got more tops and is in a pot 1/4 the size of what she was in last time and she's about to hit the tube again! I've been pinching her stems all through flower. It's crazy! If I had 7' of height I'd probably love her because she yields really well and I could probably coax a little more purple out of her and she's be really pretty. But I only have 4' of height!

did you top or fim stella as welll?? she looks to have a pretty nice amount of tops as well.. love the structure on that plant..

can't wait to see how you do on the mainlining as well as i was thinking of trying that on my next crop to see how things turned out for me..

I topped her at least twice for clones this run. She used as a mom and then was just a next in line plant for awhile. I had 5 main branches that I tied down to be even in the first few days of 12/12. Other than loosening the ties so she doesn't girdle herself I just feed her at this point. I did a little lollipopping of the way down low stuff too.
I'm not so sure of mainlining with my veg space, it's only an 18 gal storage tote. Space is always at a premium at the pond! I'll definitely play with it more when I upgrade to two totes stacked on top of each other.

yeah, i noticed the bondage going on there, got me a bit excited for a second, lol.. , but seriously, looks like you have her opened up nicely for light penetration, not to mention all those tops.. gonna be a nice harvest of blueberry / haze goodness..

I pulled a qp off a similarly trained plant this last run. It's less defined method and more the madness of having to be a bonsai grower. I love everything about my house except for the closet space.

The seedlings are 12 days old today.
In the first pic is the Midases with the AK x JH and my BD mom in the background. The Midas are really growing vigorously. I should be able to top them and root the tops to sex them. I really hope that big one is a female. It's just so vigorous. The other one is doing great to but but nothing on it's sibling.

We've got the Blue Dream I'm mainlining, she's got 4 tops now. In the row with her are the two JH babies and the bottom row is the Dark Rainbows.

I topped the Midases yesterday and cloned the tops. They should be ready to go into flower by the end of next week. I left three nodes on 3 and 2 on 4. The veg tub is totally full. I may be throwing the mainlined AKxJH into flower soon to have some space. I'm thinking of just training the 4 tops around the pot with her. I'll have to play growbox tetris later.Cu stopped stretching like an inch from the cool tube. Stella is 22 days in and looking quite good. Nice and healthy and ready to pack on the buds!I'll try to get some pics of everyone up later, our Internet has been wonky.

Looking great mate. Love to watch a grower maximize their space so well. Props man. You ever think of adding a screen to your grow? You could fab some individual screens for your pots to make it easier to maneuver and feed. You do great with LST alone but the screens could possibly make it easier for you. Just some thoughts mate, your killing it either way. Peace

Thanks man! I've actually been thinking of adding a screen or something for support. Cu is already leaning like a drunken sailor and the rigidity would help Stella because she tends to fall over late in flower. I'm still playing around with how to best use my space.

Pictures! Stella had a touch of N def showing so I upped her feed to 1tsp/gal of Jack's Otherwise she's doing great. I ought to measure her. I also need to go through and make notes on all of the pics I have online from other plants because it's a pain in the ass trying to go back and compare. I need to be less of a slacker if I want to improve.


Here's the AKxJH clone. I'm really curious how she will do being in such a small container. With some defoliation I could really pack plants in close in those.

The babies are doing well, I don't have pics of the Midases post topping because I'm a dumbass. I'm really liking the response of 3 to being topped. It's gonna be a bushy plant. Hopefully it's a girl and she doesn't stretch like crazy! The Jack F2s will get topped and cloned as soon as the Midas are rooted and in flower.

I started on training the mainlined Stella clone today but I fucked up and supercropped the hell out of a branch I was training today. I hope she's ok.
