My 35 day old mid-grade plants- any suggestion

You are completely powerless to stop the newbs from giving advice here. Sure there may already be 1000+ posts, but that doesn't stop them from typing words that they are certain must be the epitome of wit and wisdom even if they haven't the time or inclination to read more than 1/2 page of the thread.

So sit back and enjoy the newb "advice". That is where the humor is to be found.

yea i hope yall dont think i was tryin to advise this kid...it looks like he was doomed from the start with the first twelve pages of " i dont want to kill my plants" anyone that doesnt realize thats crap and its not worth the time money or energy its as the first post said and should have probally stopped at was "wow just wow"

Nope, I wasn't directing anything at you. It's all cool.

I was getting at advice like "grow a real plant", you know, good stuff like that.

haha i seriously at first thought it was some kind of different plant at first from the pictures and he just was asking plant people what they thought, you know a string bean or something
 
I laugh my butt off every time this thread pops back up, I have been subscribed to this thread since I found RIU and it has offered hours of amusement since.:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Especially the advice still being given after over a hundred pages and eight months of ridicule and flaming.

I think this could be the longest running seedling save ever.

can I convert a neon light transformer into a hps ballast?

if it wasn't so dangerous and lethal I might consider looking into it more.

This thread is full of valuable lessons. Personally I think it should be a sticky in Newbie Central.

It shows the value of research, following advice, and keeping your mouth shut.

It demonstrates to newbies how not to grow on a shoestring budget in the house of your girlfriend's parents.

It further shows how even the worst start can result in a halfway decent grow. NewGrowth is quite correct by pointing out that GP420 was beginning to get the hang of it before he disappeared. Say what you will about the boy, he had heart. Like Danger Barch in Million Dollar Baby.

haha but what actually happened to this kid we need to find him....hire a P.I. cause i want to know what happened to this kid and his grow after a hundred pages of reading and wondering
 
dude, we mean get alot more lights. Just one plant during beg needs 1700 lumens or more. atleast i think i remmeber somone saying that. IT also depends on how tall ur plants are. If i were you, i would kick the plants outside,(you may still get a light yield) and just restart with new plants. Definately pick up atleast Three cfl's. Remember you want the ones that say "BLue Light" alot of ppl dont mess with cfl's. But for a small ghetto grow, u can make really good buds. All frosty n' Shyt!!!
Check out buds for less. i bought the book, didn't really help, but by the look of your grow, it could only improve. its like 18 bucks i think. also read the lights forum. Learn Lighting. Its easy. you already understand lighting right ? at least the LUMEN part. also if u are state side or not, give namebrands like of your CFL's. Everything u add in, should be part of your journal. This way we can prosecu- ahem, i mean "help" you. LOL, jk.
