Hey, on some real shit... if your intelligent, theres alot of money in medical cannabis. Most of the folks doing this have little formal education. You can easily make a far superior product than anything out. And bewilder most people.. and make better medicine
This is where i would fit
Lots of people coming out with patents ;)
Money..

Elec and hvac as mentioned, anything specialized.. but as far as the weed scene, youll either be setting up grows, consulting etc. You wont be needed forever. Itll help you out and others say friends sure but likely youll end up falling back on the trade in a traditional sense at "normal" job sites
Understanding how the plant works is great, unfortunately without a deeper chem background in terp formation etc most would rather hire an experienced grower who "understands" the plant. A deeper education in sustainable ag and organics could be of use.
As far as business that could help alot especially in the warehouse type grows. Figure out how to save money, drop price per gram and run shit

You need to go to college though like now. A reputable party college not c.c. If i could and not be weird i would live in a college dorm like a permanent ra..
But i also loved high school
It is pretty different though, your professors dont give a damn if you show. Likely all work will be out of class, thats just lecture..except labs, always go to the lab. And all you need to do realistically is pass or maintain a high enough avg to hold onto scholarships and what not if you can get some. Your school avg is not on your degree lol..or attendance..easy
The girls seem to loose all sense
The drugs get better
And paid for by financial aid.
Staying in dorms is a must
The whole culture is different

My fav is texas state where im at. Go down every other thurs to drop weight. Stay in the dorms with one or two of my girls, throw a few lines out and fuck all night. Go to a party or two.
Good times
Well you see, I fucked off in highschool and only have a 2.0 GPA so any chances of going to a 4 uni straight out of highschool is out of the question. I would more than likely going to a community college then transfer into a university after 2 years. And yes I understand completely where people would want someone with more experience working for them. I'm currently studying social media marketing my own, reading blogs and what not seeing how people create impressions with their niches. I may even land a marketing job one day, who knows. But with a marketing background you have so many different options as to where to go.

IF you had unlimited funds, and could do anything you want all day every day, what would it be?

Whatever your answer is, try to find a career as close to that as possible. Working jobs that you have no interest in will fuck with your head long-term. You got one life, make it count bro.

That's what I'm trying I just so happen to live on the wrong coast lol. I truly hope to make it out to the west one day.

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm very smart with computers when it comes to Botnets, Rats, etc, etc. I've thought about possibly starting my own Security Company, just need the right team.

But yes, computer science is as wonderful major and field to work in. As the years go by and technology advances, it only becomes more needed.

Seems like a very logical idea. I just hope college is for me. High School wasn't for me if you can understand that. Just never was interested in schooling.
There's your problem. You need the self-discipline to mold yourself to professional expectations. The sense of entitlement you have displayed in this thread leads you to the delusion that time tested institutions should mold themselves to your wants and needs. This will not move your life forward as you will always be trying to serve your happy.

Go to a trade; electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and then work on education. You have to earn the right to do what you want and living off mom and dad doesn't convince anyone you are particularly intelligent and worthy of training. As for $2,000.00 in 6 months running a webhost! You need to find another career field, this is not your interest nor your strong suit. Seriously one of the core components is SEO and you ignored that for 6 months! Possibly you should stop smoking Cannabis so you have actual motivation instead of fantasies.

Listen to @Singlemalt and check out horticulture if you want into the cannabiz. Stop thinking your feelings matter at all and instead focus on skills which will make you valuable.

I wish you luck and hope you listen you've been given a ton of good advice in this thread especially @Gary Goodson 's

This is honestly the best reply I've gotten. And I appreciate the response and I respect the honesty. I think you nailed a few key points that really relate to me. I have taken into consideration getting a major I horticulture and a minor in business. Maybe I'll strike a gold mine one day and not need it, but as of now, the majority of the advice given is to go to a trade school and establish the skills. There's no better advice than the people older than you and who have more experience in life.

I'd give you an 80% on that manipulation. The hyperbole fell a tad short of belief, with a side of fantasy and glad handling. Polish those APD skills so they are less detectable. Overall you have potential but I wouldn't say you are the sharpest knife in the drawer but at 18 almost no one is.

Where's @Indagrow ? He could give you some excellent advice

That makes a lot of sense, I could see where that would be an issue.

But my counter to that, I'm a very fast learner. I'm addicted to small details and I've read a lot about trimming and studied growing tactics for indoors/outdoors, just never grew personally. Had a few friends grow here in my town, just always had bad luck and the plants were found.

But thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!

I've thought about doing that, I just don't live on my own and don't have the money to live on my own. My parents have nothing wrong with me smoking it like I said, but they would kill me if I started growing.
I'm a fast learner and have been offered a job more than once out west but I'm all set but they didn't want me for my learning skills they wanted the experience and I make more money on my own. So grow grow grow make that money and you will have people offer you a job but until then practice and prove you are a fast learner.

In a world with who you know being more important than what you know you better at least know your shit cause I wouldn't give you a mop job. But where I'm at weed is illegal so you better know the kid is not going to brag or rat. Most you will get started in is trimming with no experience and if the grower\s like you you might get lucky but you can make more money with your own grow hands down.

Oh yeah and if you work for a company you can't smoke the bud you have to pay for it some may give a discount but I doubt even 50% off meanwhile I smoke all I want and still make plenty of money.:bigjoint:

If you want to grow weed for a living don't spend your time on other careers, focus on growing. You have to start somewhere. Move out west. Become an apprentice and learn commercial growing from the start. Find a niche, maybe its selling clones or something else. Be your own boss. Its like any other business and you need to listen to your customers and work hard.
