Ok thanks What would happen if I didn't get a carbon filter? Would the smell be noticeable from outside my house ?
Are there any other problems that come from not having a carbon filter
Depends on if you have to keep smell down for legal reasons or just as a courtesy to the neighbors. I don't run a filter but in flower you can smell my grow the second I open the front door. It's also legal where I am so all I'm risking is offending the bible thumpers stopping by to ask if we've been saved yet. If it was still illegal I'd absolutely have a filter setup. I doubt the smell will be noticeable outside the house unless you're venting the grow out of a window.

I'd also recommend getting some form of light meter. Either a quantum PAR meter or a cheap LUX meter depending on your budget. That's one piece of gear I wish I had bought sooner. It's important to be able to dial in the light intensity accurately.

Mostly just so my neighbors don't know ..it's legal where I'm from to and I got my temporary provisional for medical marijuana card so I'm just waiting on them to send my official Medical card in an email but i thunk under this provisional I can still grow cuz I'm in the system just waiting on official it's been about a month

Your neighbors will show up and be like WHATS UP DAWG lol! Just more smell getting out than you'd like

Just use a phone app for light metering. It's "close enough" and you don't need a dedicated meter for light measurement right out of the gate

Not a bad suggestion, but IMO save your money and just use a free phone app

Ok thanks..I havnt been using cal mag this whole time..I read somewhere thar since I'm using tap water that I don't need cal mag Is thar true or should I get sum? I let my tap water sit out for a day+

I have pretty much the same kind of cheaper lux meter. It might not be as accurate as a quantum meter but as long as it's consistent in it's reading you can have a benchmark to use and then you can figure out what the plants want by watching them and adjusting the light intensity. Once you have some numbers and a couple of grows using it, you'll be able to repeat the settings over and over again. It just helps me find hot spots and low light areas mostly. With mine anything over 55K lux and I can start to see light stress. If you can find a good App that works with your phone then it will do pretty much the same thing. I've just seen too many varied readings with the Apps to trust them using my phone.

My opinion on cal mag, you should only need it or just have it handy, in hydroponics especially coco coir. Plenty of people grow in coco without using cal mag, but I simply cannot, I get mag-striping in my leaves as soon as I stop adding calmag but, i do taper it off in late flower. i also use tap water and I think it's case-by-case whether your tap water has sufficient calcium in it to not need cal mag. Also my opinion, cal mag is likely a waste of time and money if you're gorwing organically in soil or peat, or doing a super-coco or something.

Ok thanks bro is cal mag a necessity? I havnt used it at all and one of my plants is 8 weeks in

Plants don't need Calmag additives unless you're running RO water and even then Calcium and Magnesium are separate nutrients and usually you have a deficiency of one or the other. Epson salt is for magnesium deficiency issues and stuff like Calcium by itself or cal Nitrate with extra N is what I'd use for calcium deficiency issues.

These are the exhaust fans I need right ? 4 inch should be good for my smaller tent? Which would you guys get the Mars or spend the extra and get the AC Infinity

After my third piece o' shit pH meter, I finally gave up on them entirely and exclusively use a cheap reagent solution to test my pH. Might wanna have some around for if//when your pH meter flakes out. I barely bother with pH at all in soil, but I like to keep this stuff handy just in case.

Keep in mind, pH drops also get oxidized and go bad as you expose them to air every time you use them. Use the big one to refill the small dropper, use the dropper until COMPLETELY EMPTY then clean it with distilled water & dry with clean paper towels. Constant topping off of the dropper makes it go bad

What about run off pans? Do you guys get another plant riser to go on top of the runoff pans or just sit it directly on the runoff pan
