New CFL grow using Miracle-Gro African Violet Potting Mix in 6" pots

well, i fucked things up. turns out new bean is a female, so i took old bean out and tried to tie down the branches on new bean and broke it off!! i took the "cutting" and dipped it root shit and stuck it in a cup of dirt??? this sucks, dam i hate to kill off old bean just to keep 1 female, should have just left them alone, oh well.

WELL I CHOPPED OLD BEAN, AND THREW IN THE CUTTING OFF NEW BEAN. I HOPE NEW BEAN RECOVERS AND IS OK. MY SISTER, WHO DOESNT SMOKE, IS MAKING BROWNIES RIGHT NOW WITH ALL THE LEAVES, LoL.SHE LIKES TO COOK. WILL TEST THOSE OUT IN A BIT. IM BUMMED.:cry:

no, i scrapped the cutting too. it went in the brownie mix, they were good, but i dont feel anything yet, LoL. the main thing is that this 1 plant turns out good now that i know its a female. after this, i hope to get some good seeds seeing that i am now a soil growing expert, LMAO. :weed:
 
today is 29 days for new bean and she seems to be doing well after yesterdays screw up. me and my sister both ate the brownies made from old bean last night and it was funny, my sister said she hasnt slept so well in a long time, LoL. i also kept all the tiny little buds that were on old bean, there drying right now. dont know if they will do anything, but we'll see.

new bean is 31 days old today and doing great. there are preflowers everywhere and i cant wait to start seeing some buds on her.

today is day 33, new bean is looking good. since i tied down the main branch, its getting like 4 or 5 bud sites on it. the damage from breaking the other main branch off seems to be healing up ok. cant wait to see some buds.

thanks man, this grow has been through alot, LoL. had 2 plants but 1 was a male, i hated to get rid of it, but it was the right thing to do. i hope the girl pays off. next grow will be some good stuff when i order some good female seeds now that i have all the bugs worked out. thought about some autoflowering seeds. its been fun tho.
 
you should get 27k spectrum cfls, you have more of a vegging color at 56k, the 27s are more red, unlike the 56's which are blue, you will see a difference, I am positive...

i have 5 23 watt 2700k's and 1 23 watt 6500k bulb in there now. in the pics, that 6500k is in the middle up front and it looks bad and bright, LoL.
 
heres new bean at 37 days, shes starting to get buds all over. it wild how the main branch on the right is growing, its like a whole other plant. its getting good, cant wait, LoL.

yeah, thanks man, its only 1 plant now, the female and im real happy with how its goin. like you, this grow has been through hell too, LoL. im putting in another exhaust fan right now. here in florida, temps are goin up and without the a/c on yet, its like 80 in the house and the box has gone from 80/81 to about 88, so, add another fan, LoL. thats the great thing about the cardboard box, need a fan, cut a hole, problem solved. im replacing the top 80mm exhaust fan with an 8" electric fan. i'll post pics when im done of all my fans i have.
 
well the big fan brought the temp down to 86, not bad??? heres pics of all the fans, 1 is the intakes, 2 and 3 are the exhaust, and 4 is the fan in the box blowing on the plant and the lights. the last 2 is the whole box and the light defuzer for the new top fan. also, heres a couple the pistals/buds.

I think i am going to try what you did, replace the cpu fans with electric fans. They have to work better than those fans im using. HELL BOX 2010 is holding at 88 degrees when lights are on. i would love to shave a few points off that.
 
cool deal man with the fans, it can only help. i read your post about the hood, its worth a try without it if its easy enough to remove.

new bean is doin great at day 38. she has plenty of bud sites forming on 3 main branches. just the 1 plant fills the whole box with lst on the 1 main branch.
