I think I paid $11 for a pound. You want the shredded product, not the powder, fwiw. Just easier to work with imo.

HT are a pretty invasive plant. I've had them literally crack open large ceramic pots in our yard before as a result of such a strong rootball. The more I read up on them, though, the more I'm convinced they are a remedy that we have been pushed away from by modern science... very strong antifungal properties. I'll post a link or three over here for ya... there are a couple slightly different methods, but the great thing about this stuff is that you can spray it until harvest. 100% organic, veganic, etc... and my plants have been loving it. It's heavy in silicates, which I'm learning they like.

I beg to differ! I bet they love it where you live Donnie :) They are practically like a weed, those silly Horsetails. I see them in a lot of homes around here... very cool looking plant. And they reproduce exclusively by spore, not seed. Only plant on earth to do that, I believe. Can you tell I'm slightly enamored by them? lol . . . bongsmilie Anything that kills PM and makes my plants happy is a winner in my book.

Now that's some plant like. Shrooms spread by spore. Still cool as fook. I thought pm was a disease that couldn't be killed once infection's taken. I could and and probably wrong tho :)

Well, the only plant plant, I guess. Shrooms are a fungus... a FUNgus... hehe. I always have fun when I eat them.

I've heard the same thing about PM, that it is systemic. I have read things about HT tea actually healing plant tissue that has been negatively impacted/damaged by mold/mold spores. I do believe that completely eradicating PM would be difficult, but I think that keeping it suppressed is possible.

Kool, a plant for ma Bog :D
Exactly! I had some growing in my family pond when I was a kid. Frogs like to hide in it, too.

I had horsetails in the neighborhood growing up. They make wicked whips. Had plenty a red mark across the back of my legs from those things.

Haha sticky jacks all up your back and itchy bombs off the rosebush seedheads. Those were the days. I remember it used to get hot enough to have water fights in the UK LOL water balloons and super soakers, everyone on the estate ganging up on that one kid who had the super soaker 5 zillion.

That sucks. We always had raccoons picking their dinner from our pond... lost a couple real cool looking fish.

Yeah, the HT tea is for foliar spray. You can do it lights on or off... just hit it in three day cycles. 3 days straight spray, then wait a day or two, and if at any point you see more PM, spray again. You can use it until day of harvest as far as I know. 100% organic, non toxic.

Yes indeed, there it is. 100g dried to 1 gallon of water give or take. Let steep in your kitchen for 24 hrs, then boil for 20 min, strain out vegetive matter, and let sit in a cool dark place for 2 days (garage, basement, etc). At this point you have the concentrate that you then mix with water at anywhere from 10-25% strength.

Some people will let the concentrate sit for longer than 2 days... like up to 7-10, at which point spores will start to grow on top (which are then good to mix into the tea, supposedly). This is called "fermented" tea, and supposedly works just as well, if not better.

I came across some info that said that HT tea is stronger than any chemi fungicide you can buy on the market, too, fwiw. And it works for things like athletes foot and toenail fungus on us humans. 100% safe and effective. Aren't you glad you know all this sweet info now, Westie?! lol... sorry if I just bombarded ya. Too much coffee, perhaps.

Hope everyone on that side of the pond is having a good Saturday. :peace:
