Yeah, I did. XD

I need a better method of germing than then wet paper towels. Someone on here said I'd be fine.

you put it in soil before seeing the tap root?
What would be wrong with this, a covered seed in moist soil is fine given the right temps it will sprout or should sprout.

I love Al B Fucts stuff, he makes it real simple and yeilds good, just one big bud on each plant, big yeild every two weeks with just a few lights and ebb and flow system, he explains pH, ferts, growing, lights, problems and many other things, even i think i could grow like him after reading all his grow threads, damn he makes it look easy.

Peace

I have no idea when it comes to hydro, i seen some intresting cheap solutions. I way prefer soil and organics/natural at the moment. Peace

Well. I scrapped the first project on day three. I planted them after a single day germing with the papertowel method. I dug up a few and they didn't even have taproots. So I've killed the lights and dumped the soil for now, I'll try again when this new batch has germed. I'll wait til I actually see a taproot before fuckin' shit up.

Keep it simple... Plant the seed in damp soil, keep the top moist with a misting bottle, keep it under the light and in a few days it should pop. No digging it up and all that stuff. Let it do it's thing.....

It doesn't get easier than that...

Seeds can take up to 2 weeks to germinate, chill and let nature do its job, if the soil dries just wet it again, seeds do fine outside like this and they sprout, weed isn't some magical bush that needs lots of care and attention from us, just needs the right conditions and it will grow itself, stop panicking so much. My seeds take on average 5 days to pop open in jiffy cubes, 3 days is a bit quick but it could happen, once they pop open they sprout pretty quick, leave em alone, if there gona sprout there gona sprout. Peace

Hey. So can I do a RDWC SoG setup with like a 50gallon res and just get a stronger pump and split the hoses to each 5-10gallon tub on top?

Also: Taking recomendations on grow mediums.

Hydrocton
Coco
STG Hail

Thoughts?

Did you come into some money? When you started this thread you said you didn't have extra money for nutes and a ph meter or an electric bill and 5 days later you are talking about RDWC's and multiple lights. I'm not trying to bust your balls but you need to learn how to grow and build up to the system you are talking about if you are short on cash. You are not going to be able to sucessfully do what you are dreaming of with no budget and afraid to order good genetics.

If you don't have money forget the hydro systems and multiple lights etc. Start small and work out the bugs as go. Get a pot with some cheap soil and nutes and throw some cfl's over it and start growing. That's how you are going to learn. If you can't get a seed going how are you going to get a proven mother big enough and enough clones to run a SOG? Not going to happen. All you are doing now is confusing yourself with to much information and no focus. Go over to some of the smaller low budget grows and check out how they do it. You can pull some decent bud with out alot of cash and build up your equipment as you go and not get caught because you don't have the cash to keep it stealth. Looking at grows of guys with multiple 1000's and hydro systems and all that is great but you need to understand that these grows cost lots of money to run let alone set up. Lots and lots of experience too. The electric is due before the harvest so you need to have that money and some cash just in case you have a problem that needs money to solve or you lose your grow.

Again I'm not trying to tell you what you can and can't do I'm just going buy what you said at the begining of your threads. It's exciting when you start but just try to focus on getting something growing or you'll end up just another keyboard grower. Talking about growing is not growing.

Good Luck...

Haha, yeah sorry. I always had money on the way, I was just looking at options. I just got over-excited and acted like a tard, I apologize. I was wanting to keep cost down and I was wondering if I could do what I wanted, cheaply. It appears I'll have to spend a little and that's ok. I was just trying to cut cost so I could get other things I want. I'll try to keep myself a little more collected from now on XD

I hope I'm not too late. If you haven't read Soma's book on growing herb... well not a big deal i remember nothing about it except for this one little trick... GERMINATION. His method is my favorite and it's genius. Page 6 is all I'm asking you to read.

Wow what a great link to 43 pages of Somas book, he truly is great, only shame it skips the last 57 pages but still a great link. Peace

Thanks dude. =D
You're welcome. There is a link floating around to download it for free, but I couldn't/still can't find it.
Maybe it's for the better.. Borders closed shop and that was the only book store I was able to buy grow books from. Such a shame.
