Ya CFLs are underrated. I'm using an HID, and I like it like that, but CFLs will get the job done

Try and deal w/ actual wattage when talking about CFLs. That 200w your referring to will only be a 56w.

i knewthe CFLrs would be all over this haha. WHAT U NEEDA do is put that money ur spending on bulbs and buy a GOOD light.\

I think the largest I saw at Home Depot was a 75w (actual), and that was equivalent to about 200w.

Remember for vegging you want a brighter color. I think there actually called "daylight". That's the color name. You have a "soft white" bulb.

depends how many plants ur growing, u can get two 85-100 real wattage for like 40 bucks but try and get a 6500k and a 2700k (or 3000k 2 sub) you willl need the 2700k or 3000k 2 flower

yea you need 6500k(daylight or cool white) for veg and 2700K(soft white for flowering

Yeah im only doing one plant just trying to keep it simple. I will look for some 6500k cfl cool white bulbs 27 w. Sound right? I would go with the mh setups but dont have the money for it right now. So i am assuming I am at the seedling stage or what? Can i use the same bulb for the next stage ?

also to make things a lil cheaper go to like ace or somethin and ask for a standerd y splitter so u can run 2 cfls out of one socket. saves on room also and u can fit many more in a small space

hey bro i use one 2700k and one 6500k in each socket so it gets both spectrums of light.

Sounds like you're on the right track. For seedlings you'll only need 1-2 bulbs. How long you veg will determine how much light you'll need for your flowering stage.

My setup rite now is one 85 watt 6500k five 27 watt 6500k and two 42 watt 2700k
and imma vice versa wen flowering
