Hey guys i got some seed's shipped to me what do you guy's reckon could i start a winter outdoor crop right now in late march? i heard of friends that have done it but there plants where just a tad small but still produced hella bud.. i got a total of 12 seed's i was thinking of using a lay 4 or 3 seeds to eff around with on winter time what do you guys reckon i don't mind using 3 to 4 seeds if things don't turn out right i'm not overly fussed its just cause i got a outdoor crop atm near finish date and my other one's where ripped so i only have the one plant left and i swear that wont last me till the end of winter....what do you guys think can it be done.....?

sorry cheebs im an indoor guy but my guess is they would veg for around 4 weeks then go straight to bloom. now if you were in hydro and had them in direct light for that frst 4 weeks you could pull maybe an ounce or 2 per plant but outdoors in soil i reckon you would be pushing it to get 1/4 from each plant? thats if weather permits. probs better off spending your time prepping an outdoor plot for next season, prepping some grow beds with composts and organic ferts now so they have time to cook in then next year get your plants in right on time cause everything is ready to go and get some 15 foot monsters.

if you simply have to get your grow on though and i know what that is like you could buy some cheap cfls and veg inside until they are a good size then chuck em outside to flower or you can try hitting them with a little light each night to keep em in veg outside

$500 is too much for a dutch hybrid strain imo, I'd only ever pay that for African grown Malawi cobs. You can buy a KG of weed in Ghana,Africa for $15!.
I'd pay $400 for outdoor Panama and be happy as about it, in my opinion 16 weeks strains are worth double to shorter flower strains.
last summer was real good up until late may which would have perfect for the Malawi this year, lets hope the weather holds out till mid may and then a final 3 week squeeze to the end lol.
They would have been longer skinny plants taller than 10 ft if I hadn't chopped it back and then topped 2 more times after that, 7ft fully bushed out plants are perfect.
Maybe Scrubdog was extremely unlucky and managed to get an actual bad pheno of Ace Malawi or the season is incredibly shit down there or it's not a legit Malawi seed, who knows lol.

Your plant will be potent if you push it to 20% amber lol but I dunno if that's your style, I like more amber on Indicas because that's there effect but more milky to amber with sativas to get the thc effect instead of the cbd effect if you know what I mean?. Trichomes are pretty cool how they hold so much info,flavour,high etc in each single head.
You could probably push yours to mid april if you wanted to.

I'm not too sure how It'l smoke to the indoors, probably stronger if it's harvested april. We had some rain last night so I'll see how it is before I go away for 5 days, not keen to come back to mush

They had that dino grow one part nutrient aswel that i sometimes see people using on hereor something like that . It was all under hydroponics. Oh and some worm castings liquid or something, they had all sorts of shit, couldn't find the bat guano though unfortunately.

Yea I agree $500 is far to much. Cant believe some people go as far as paying $500 screw that. Sucks paying top notch for real average bud. Those people that grow the strain big bud and sell it get good yields but pretty average high I reckon. Id pay 400 for top notch trippy Panma, particularly the pinky's Sucks that alot of growers dont have the patients to grow sativas.

Yeah mate I know what you mean, being a sativa dom I think Ill go with 20% amber and the rest cloudy. If it was and indica id defiantly let in brown up more but Ill just play it safe Im taking a tiny sample once a week for the next few weeks to look at the trichomes. Took one on friday and looked at it through the scope and they all look mostly clear. A few cloudy and partly amber ones though.

I sometimes like to light some of my bud Ive brought in a room and see how much it smells out so I lit a tiny bit id grown in the room and came back a few minutes latter and it reeked! Smelt kinda popcorny and thick so yea pretty nice. The little drying piece of bud I took smells sort of musky, hazey and piney but not alot of smell at the moment but so far so good! You harvesting that Taskenti tomorrow?

Bud has been hanging for 2 and a half days now. We have workers coming to our property so I had to shove it all in a cardboard box and put it further away so it doesn't smell so much. Hope it doesn't affect the quality and the drying process too much. Should just be for about 9 hours then hanging it back up.

some outdoor NL. sorry its not as nice as all your guys outdoor plants i dont really have anywhere good to grow outdoors and even my backyard isnt very private being at the bottom of a hill all the neighbours overlook straight down into my yard so i cant really go up the back and give this plant as much attention as i would have liked but all in all shes coming along nicely and smells great, nice and piney just like a good NL should, she doesnt have much resin but i know its from lack of care because i started flowering this clone indoors once and it had nice resin but i had to end that run so i revegged a clone and thats how i ended up with this plant now. i hope that made sense lol

Should be sweet as for 9 hours bro, only if its left for ages it'll go moldy. Otherwise, the slower its dried the better.

Still pretty warm up here in the day and nights, what's it like down there now? Do you reckon the season could go a month longer down there? Panama harvests in a month so it should go all good down there. All good next time you go, see if they have the grow and bloom earth juice - that shit is magic apparently. Can't beat organic hydro companies

My dad reckons Big Bud's shit lol big airy buds and susceptible to mould. Yeah I'd pay that for Ace or CBG's Panama, apparently there's a rare purple pheno. I'm looking forward to smoking the frosty pink one, so sticky it leaves resin on your arms when you brush past it. I think the cold harsh south isn't a place for Malawi lol, maybe Nelson.
I think purple kush derived from Pakistani chitral kush(Ace & CBG have it) and I have a fem seed

20% amber will have more CBD to THC ratio, I prefer 5% amber with most strains. I guess it's just your preferred high.
Must still have quite a way to go then, It'll be a few weeks before it turns 20% amber.

Must be pretty sativa dominant hopefully, are the buds pointy and whispy?.
I was going to do it today but probably have to do it tonight because I'm off tomorrow going into the Ruahines chasing some monster reds.

Everyone's buds are looking nice! Haven't been able to visit my plant for 5 weeks and unfortunately I'm going to have to chop it this week (assuming it's survived) so I'm hoping it's ready. I guess worst case it'll only be one or two weeks early.

Anyone have any advice for transporting weed? Won't be much but I'm a bit worried it'll stink quite a bit due to it being fresh, ideally I'd like to prevent the smell from being noticeable outside my vehicle so that even if I did happened to get pulled over for something I'd hopefully be all g.

Can pretty much always find 1l and 5l bottles of 99%/100% on trademe Jaycar has 250ml bottles. There are a few other small businesses that sell reasonable quantities of isopropyl but I'd rather not post any of them publicly.

I avoid using iso mainly because buying anything over 250ml usually needs your name and i.d because they know what youll be using it for. acetone works better, can also use fuelite theyre all good to use. some fellas use meths but you've got to take the purple shit out. desperate people will use petrol then wonder why it taste crap.

butane makes the best quality and fuelite will yield better. if its trim and fluffy popcorn buds id be making hash not oil

this is me growing off of my windowsil in auckland.
i got given a clone really late and have had it up on my windowsill in a pot for a few weeks using only natural light and potting mix from the wharehouse!

do you guys think i will get any buds or is too late as its almost winter?

I use a canvas bag snapper. I know oven bags completely wipe out the smell but I dunno if you can get big ones for harvesting, if you're that worried just buy lots of oven bags and chop the heads into those and tie em up real tight and make sure you use gloves too.
I'm harvesting my taskenti tonight.

What part of the country are you in killermite?, there's still 4 good weeks left and probably another 4 growable weeks after that if you're near the top of the north island, plus it's inside so you don't have to worry about frosts/weather conditions. I reckon it'll be allgood.

its bodhis NL5 project. i dont know if you can still get them anywhere. its a real nice rep of NL from what i can tell. i have only ever cracked this one but i have a bunch of seeds left presuming i havnt cooked them 2 i have cracked 3 packs from my stash in the last couple of weeks and there all nuked, so many good strains wasted because of the heat wave we had, it baked my seeds. looks like im going to be refrigerating my seeds from now on

Thanks cooper, and CK; your oven bag suggestion reminded me of mylar bags (possibly the same thing?) which should be perfect and can get them in pretty large sizes. GL, I'm cutting mine down tomorrow.

I'll have a bit of a read up on using acetone to make oil. Any 'pro-tips' haha? Is a quicker 'wash' better like with isopropyl alcohol? Can't imagine using petrol, would have to be very desperate.

Just a little update. My plant has decided it wants to turn purple The leaves are getting more and more purple and even some of the buds and pollen sacks have redy purples in them.
Weird thing is that it hasn't been that cold at night so maybe its genetic? It got alot colder at night earlier on in the season and didnt go purple and now its around 2 weeks from harvest.

Yeah its still all good down here, got no rot and not alot of humidity now which is good. Had some algood days, got to 26 today and the overnight temps have dropped of a we bit but not loads. 8 - 12 overnight lows which is algood. At this rate the season could easily go another month down here I reckon. Ill see if they have grow and bloom earth juice next time I go in

Yea big bad really isnt that great to be honest. The high just isnt there its pretty shit, I suppose its alright if you want a mellow smoke but nothing to rave about. A big bud crossed with something to up the potency would be alright though I guess. That big frosty pinky will be potent as! If I want the more trippy kinda high should I harvest with more cloudy then amber? Im into trippy kind of colorful highs. Better grow that purple kush out then bro, really nice looking plant by the sound of it.

The buds are more coney shaped, quite leafy and long but not overly dense especially the middle ones. Pointy for sure, the buds don't sorta just stop at the top like indicas they're really pointy and thin at the tops. Hope your Taskenti harvest went algood. My plants turning purple for some reason? Most of the fan leaves are yellow so should be on par for harvest in 2 weeks id say and its starting to get more budy now if that makes sense lol
