Newbie with a Rough Situation but a Hopeful Plan. Please Help!

haha that was like two months ago man! check the pics above your post. thats what were dealing with now. i changed my mind about that dresser.

ah thanks man!

i just want it to be DONE but I think im going to put legs on it and take the input from the bottom. i think that would be best for light control and for temp control.

i read about your fridge too! awesome idea!

you should do a HPS or MH light in there!

do clones on the freezer side and the big girls flowering in the other! somehow hook up the cooling coils to keep your temps low.

im sure you've already thought all this threw tho!

sorry to hear bout your plantitis...i'm no plant doctor so take with grain of salt....but....I think you may be watering and flushing a bit much.....I water mine like once to twice a week and give a small amount of nutes each feeding....every so often like a month or so i'll do a flush to get any salt buildup out...the plant will droop when it's thirsty..i had almost the same problem with my leaves....cept they were curling too...FDD called overwatering and was right at that point I was watering every two to three day, not much mind you but the soil never got a chance to dry out....if your watering a lot, try leaving it for a week and see if she comes back...you should see a change in a couple days...that was my experience.....

thanks dude!!....I use the fridge to clone and sprout seeds in, so i don't wanna heavy light, i have a tent with a 600 that i flower in! Cheers

yeah thats what we decided. well not OVER watering, but under watering too often. I would only do like a cup but i would do it every day. so salt build up was really easy because there wasn't enough watering for a suffienct amount of drainage.

but i flushed once, left it for a week and she dried out. so i did one more flush to be safe and i haven't touched her yet.

Well. I'm getting turned around here. I think flushing with distilled was the right thing to do, however, what is exactly causing those symptoms on your plant, I'm not sure if it's PH, potassium burn, heat stress or what. The fact it's on the edge of the leaves says something. Time to throw that one in the plant problems section to see what the next step is. My gut would say to stay on the course with clean water one more time, but you are probably going to want to give it veg nutes sometime prior to flower. Also your bloom nutes need some N...not much, but 0 doesn't seem right to me.

As far as the setup: I am having a hard time seeing your extractor fans. You need to make sure those temps stay down. I'm not sure I like that metal grate especially if it is heating up from the bulbs or touching them. Those 2 bulbs on the right look too close to each other. One of those break and you have glass and poison on your plants.

As far as cloning...I haven't done it, but I know there are tutorials on here, you just need to search. From what I understand, you cut at a 45 degree angle, maybe shave the stem a bit and dip in cloning gel/rooting hormone and then it takes a while...

Well there just cfls and I ran that same grate set up exactly how you see it, in a closet with the door shut for nine to ten hours at a time, no ventilation and I could still come home and touch the bulbs. The metal wasn't even more then warm. Im not worried too much about heat. Four big cfls in that trash can in a closet shut for over twelve hours with no outside fresh air (only while I'm at work) brings high eighties and doesn't even touch ninety now. Low eighties to mid seventies when I have the door open.

The box will have another 120mm 80 cfm fan blowing hot air into that little ozone chamber. then I'm thinkin two intake fans in the doors. I changed my mind about putting the fans in the floor because if I screw something up or I want to change the positioning if the fans, the doors are a ton easier to replace then that floor.

plus that box will mainly be for flowering so the lights will only remain on twelve hours at a time compared to my vegging 20 to sometimes 24.

Hopefully, you heeded the advice of the PM because without a healthy plant the rest of this is just an excercise in futility. So what's the score here?

sorrryyyy!!

its been a crazy week for me!!!

yeah i checked out that thread and its amazing! i was going to post and then i just got busy and havent been able to. but my plant completely cleared up after that second flush and shes back to being just as healthy as she was before!

im going to flower after i get my next item in the mail. hopefully within this week. whats the best way to start flowering?

What do you mean? You just change the lights to 12/12.

ok well i read some stuff about 24 hours of darkness before so you dont stress her out.

i dunno, thats why i asked. just dont wanna make a hermie.

Just go to 12/12. It's the more conservative option of the two. Once your in 12/12, you don't want to have light leaks or anything that causes a vegetative response.

I got a REALLY REALLY cheap small Chinese ozone generator and even that little thing gets the Job done,no need for carbon filters if you can't afford them or use them in your set up which I can't.

Well its been almost a week of flowering and I'm doing lite nutes every other watering and so far she looks great. She's getting bigger and I can see her stretching. Haven't had any smell yet. I'll be updating with pics in a few days. Temps range from a high of 84 to a low of 70 but an average of 80.
