I had some from the amish on m42 between manton and mesick, amazing cannabis but no seeds. It was the first time ive ever had a dope dealer show up in a horse drawn cart too... I tried to go back and find the guy but no luch.....

Yeah perfect response... exactly what doing...did research then applying it first hand to get the experience and seeing for myself if it works....just like every other grower here.
So you do have side by side study of two cuts from a mother so the genetics are exactly the same? I havnt run across your journal, do you have a link?

M91 and m46 area. My neighbors were all amish. Good people. Great fertilizer and weed for beer and conversation. And the kids riding our bikes. LOL.

Same tent, RDWC, same lighting, same genetics. One side was pruned for airflow and light exposure the other side wasn't. The non defolled side made it t harvest just fine. So on this grow I'm not taking off anything that is still healthy. Also the non defolled side only had 3 plants...if you look closely, you see that the re-vegged clone on the right got completely out competed. Both sides gave around the same amount of yield.

Trim more. Upgrade to 3500-3700K cree or quantum. Add IR and uv with blurples.

Ok now we are making progress. My point in defoliation and this is from a cash crop point of view is by clearing the bottom third of the plant we are doing that but we are also eliminating a hell of a lot of work trimming up mid plant fluffy garf that won’t make a jar anyways unless I plan on making edibles or resin.

I have some reptile UV lights but don't think i'll use them till I find something with a better spread. Also I'm still on the experimentation side of growing...I'm probably two more grows away before I can really start refining whatever techniques I've learnt.

Why the blurple on the bottom of the tent? It literately does nothing for the plants
To counteract the shade response...though that was bro science on my part, have no clue if that lower canopy would have closed stomatas...On my current grow I just like under lighting so I can check the health of the canopy daily.

I have raised beds and find that seeing the backlit leafs makes it easy to see any pests.

Far Red spectrum lighting
It works, I used growmaus as a guide and built a far red flower initiator , I now use a 14/10 light schedule for flowering and noticed decent results using it, It will give you an extra 5 or 6 days of light in an 8 week flowering schedule :)

Very good lecture on light specrum online Talking about UV and Far Red spectrum lighting.
Yeah I don't discount any of benefits with adding those spectrum's. I would like to look into how much PAR the red diodes give though. Would it be more efficient to have an LED that was all full spectrum diodes? Than add the red yourself? I am just concerned those reds reduce the output of the board in total. I didn't look any further than that the red helps put the plants sleep faster. They only need what a short burst of it before lights off (to replicate a normal sunset) So do you really need those reds running 24/7?

The far red are used to initiate the "sleep" response in the plants, not initiate photosynthesis. A separate light works best IMO for far red

Personal experience dictates smaller buds and tri's due to less light spektrum. Try side by side. No good here.
