Apparently heat helps to speed up the fermentation, and the tighter you wrap the thing the better. Atleast this poster claimed the heat of the sun was a crucial step in sweating it.he swears this shit is like lsd so yell must not be doing it right if nothing is happening besides a weed high. Note he also uses high grade African sativas
Hope you have one trippy ride after smoking your corn log of weed lol

My 3 month cured cobbs have all been sampled. I prefer them to the buds and shorter cured cobbs of same strain. The smoke is delightful, very smooth, mellow, and enjoyable. I am surprised at how much of a larger toke can be taken by my lungs. The aftertaste is terrific and calls for you to take more tokes. The high is very strong but I can't claim it is more powerful, just different, more of a deep body relaxation that can go more sedative with additional tokes. Amazing sleep, so great at night. Daytime, it is more likely to push you into a daydream state where it becomes difficult to focus, so not the best for getting work done, but great for feeling groovy.

I have only tried eating one time and did not get a huge buzz so I know I failed at sustaining initial temps hot enough to decarb. I only kept mine in warms temps for the first 24 hours while sweating them. So will play with that next time. Yes, definitely will do again.

Does it smell like ammonia when you open the cobb? If so, should probably heat it to drive it all off before smoking.

No ammonia smell at all, just goodness. But thank you for the suggestion, I will keep that in mind for the future. Would love to try your browning technique to see how it compares. This experiment definitely changed the way I think about curing bud and I'm interested in further experimentation.

Mine does get an ammonia smell after I sandwich a layer of buds wrapped in parchment between two heat pads and turn them full so the heat goes up to 120 F. They go full brown in about 12 hours. That was after 48 hours of 95 F though so they had already lightened up some. But 36 hours total, all brown. I got rid of the ammonia with short blasts in a microwave, about 30-40 seconds at a time in a large bowl, followed by tossing to ventilate until it cools back down. The tossing also compacts and rounds the buds somewhat, nicer looking and less volume.

I am a lightweight anymore. My wife is the heavy hitter and will be the prime test subject. I am contemplating doing it with some indica for me. Sativa and I don't get along as well as I'd like. Even though all the reports from the pure sativas excites me. I have some pot of gold growing that will be used. I plan to use black domina as well. That is my medicine.
Sativa gets me to only a few i can handle. I really want to try this first time reading on it

Back in the late 90's in Africa we used to get original Malawi Cob that was wrapped in banana leaves for less then a dollar, it was also called Malawi gold due to the color, it was such an uplifting energetic high, haven't seen it for years now though

my grandfather moved here from west africa, he sold shoes and his parents and him set up trade from there to Louisiana. He was the first person to teach me to grow and to smoke he had three strains i will never forget santa maria, Malawi gold , and Kilimanjaro (Kenya landrace). i have seen variations of the plants but i havent seen green like that since my grandpa grew it 15 years ago

Yah, wish I could grow pure sativas where I'm at, but I can't go much past October before it becomes impractical to heat my greenhouse. I'm sure the Malawi Cobb is a treat!
