These illegal immigrants were not working in the fields they were SLAVES unpaid forced workers held in bondage. Their status as illegal immigrants made them vulnerable to the predations of the farm holder, or Pilgrims Pride poultry corp, or the janitorial service at wal-mart, or the sweatshops of the garment district. Shrugging it off as hyperbole is how the german people let a program of removing unsightly jews from their cities turn into a program of extermination. Likewise the classification of the jews (and now the illegals) as somehow sub-human or deserving of their treatment is just a few casual remarks from The One away from a final solution.
