The Light is a Marshydro FCE-3000 (latest July 2022 build)
The Tent is a Vivosun 3x3

I'm going with Fabric pots, and this will be my 8th indoor run.

Given everything else (medium/nutes/enviro) is the same, will it make any difference to the quality going small non topped vs large topped?

If your going to give an opinion, can you also elaborate on experience as to why you have that opinion please!

3 Gallon, but I wouldn't do 9 unless you're scrogging and keeping them really small.

I've been using 5g with ProMix and even when vegged for a good bit they don't fill out the 5 bags. Sounds like 3 with space at a premium is a better fit.

Are you using liquid nutes or organic? I feel like you can get away with smaller pots with liquid food.

Organically I would say the bigger the better.

Ive been having nice results with 15 gallon pots with doing things the organic way.

I don’t like the idea of letting one plant fill a space could take too long.

I would say take the middle road and put 2-4 plants in 10-15 gallons.

I like 4 in 2 or 3 gal pots. 2 gal works perfectly in 3x3s in dtw coco feeding twice per day. That's how I did my last 3x3 grow and the yield and quality was good. 4 plants mainlined to 8 colas each gives enough space in between them to develop nice large quality colas, depending on your particular genetics.

IF plant count doesn't matter sea of green decreases time to harvest significantly. ON small scale it is best, big scale too many damn clones. I do 1 or 2 plants per m2 in large grows because much less labor is involved (labor is usually highest expense in commercial) and time is valuable.
