I'm sure every day in Boston or New York City or LA there are several people killed in auto accidents and other things. People dying is part of life.

What sucks is when the government comes in and shuts down your business for a few days... Or keps you from going to work for the same.

So Boston had twice as many fatalaties as normal for an average day, the ecconomic impact of the lockdown was staggaring.
there's a massive difference between an auto accident and a couple of people tossing bombs about. it's just inane to even attempt a comparison between the two.

and given the choice between losing a day or two of work and shuffling off this mortal coil, which one would you choose?

seems like an aspiring lawyer would know how to spell words like "staggering" as well.

Oh my my my. You probably wanna qualify that with "reported". cn
so you're saying the government killed people during the ensuing search and didn't report it?

The thing is there really isn't. Sure, people react differently. The authorities obviously respond differently. But when someone unexpectedly dies, what happenes?

Is the family of a dead marathon victim any less affected than a family that gets a knock on the door from the highway patrol asking them to identify the body of their daughter, mother or whatever?

No. If you lose a leg because it was blown off at a marathon, are you any more handicapped than a guy who loses a leg from a work accident? Not really.

When someone goes crazy and shoots a handfull of people at work or school, police usually catch them rather quickly, without forcefully entering homes without warrants and shutting down entire cities.

If I were a terrorist, I would now want to do this more than ever. Look at what damage America self inflicts when something so small occures.

how stupid of me.auto accidents and terrorists planting bombs are totally the same thing.good thing i have an aspiring lawyer (who misspells second grader words) to point this out to me.

what damage? the people of boston cheered the police. many shut down their businesses voluntarily.i'm glad for the sake of those standing trial that you got hooked on smack and started stealing from your family, you are the last person i would ever want defending me.

more like astonished that such stupidity exists.

dude wants us to believe he was a few hits of heroin away from being a lawyer, then claims there really is no difference between an auto accident and a terrorist's bomb.

then he goes on to try to convince us that a temporary shut down did far more damage than the bombs that killed several and injured hundreds.

i guess i shouldn't be too surprised at such stupidity.

anyhoo, it's 5pm, i gotta close up the GH and get a bite to eat.

LOL

So he wouldn't have opposed the civil rights act?
rawn pawl would have marched with MLK.

after the march, however, they would go sit down at different diners.

don't you know civil rights are only for racist business owners, and not the general public?

The government shut down a major American city for several days in the search for ONE guy. This is a growing trend... The rogue cop in Los Angeles caused a region wide shutdown, no overhead news helicopters allowed. The latest nut-case in Santa Monica who killed a handful of people, again caused a shutdown of overhead news helicopters. Fold all that in to all the NSA spying, and the IRS crap, and you have to say: Enough, god damn it!

Obama, you are no Ben Frankling:

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither."

Civil liberties: see, bill of rights, constitutional government, etc. I realize that the progs couldn't care less about upholding and defending the constitution, but I guarantee you guys will care a great deal when your hunka burnin' love is not the prez.

I wasn't limiting it to the ensuing search. I didn't see where in your post it was so constrained. cn

The no fly zones above crime scenes are put in place so no one can document the police if they resort to using deadly (justified or not) force.
