Does the timer method work anywhere near as well as a controller would? Would you consider the fill costs after the initial investment to be worth the results?

Got my Hydro Innovations controller for $270. Almost doubles the cost but ups the efficiency like no other.

Yea I used the Sentinal CPPM-4 at the warehouse which is the CO2 unit they use within the CHHC-4. Also, one of my grassociates out here
uses them in his rooms, he has 3x 6000 watt rooms and he runs one in each. Works beautifully.

Tucked for about 5 days into 12/12... shoulda tucked for more like 7-9. Crazy how much they explode, it's almost surreal. If you are using soil it's not quite as bad, and of course the sativas are worse off then the indicas.

2 new bags. I don't bother reusing typically. Concerned about pathogens, and I feel like I can never really get rid of all the roots. What can I say I'm kinda a clean freak.

To clean all that ton I showered it for about an hour in various locations, then flood & drained the tub 8 times. There was still a heavy layer of sediment on the bottom of the tub lol but I also used a strainer and hand rinsed it as I removed it into a bin for storage. 3x cleaned it better not spike my damn EC like it always tends to do.


Also, got my veggies potted up today in 3 gal smart pots. Ordered air pots but they are taking too long to come in, so gonna have to use the smart pots again this round. Medium is 2/3 hydroton, 1/3 rockwool cubes. I'll snap some pics of these lovely ladies when I get back, was just in a huge rush today.

I suggested my buddy tuck his sativas until day 12-14 and it seems to have been perfect.

Please elaborate for me. What do you mean by "tucking"?

Sounds like your pellets were washed proper-like! I like how you take special care in everything you do.

I love how you have the filled milk jugs in your tray to displace water. That is why they're there, right? Less water needed to flood them = less nutrients wasted?

haha, by Tucking we are referring to the screens. When you scrog you "tuck" (pull) the shoots under the screen for a certain amount of time and then let them grow through. The time is different for every strain and probably even between grow locations.

The jugs don't save me much nutrient, but they do help the tables fill quicker per flood cycle and they keep the rezs from running dry (the pump) for longer. That way I can pay less attention to having them topped off.
