Thanks man. I got bored the other day and broke out my 600 and tent. Dunno how long weather will permit me running it, but for right now it's a bonus 600 in my book. Threw my blackwater and vanilla kush plants that were in 2 gal smart pots in. So for anyone wondering, you can veg in a 2gal smartpot and 'plug it into' the waterfarm...then fill around with hydroton. Had to make a scrog bc, well I truly believe it is the only way to roll. Ran a duct off the exhaust from my other flowering chamber, so no extra fan there. I am running the cycle offset from my main chamber to due power limitations; it also helps keep the heat more even.

Cold weather so I can keep up with cooling. Total power in the room is approaching 4000w and that's hot! granted it's not all on at the same time, but still...

Thats honestly pimp bro, bringing it to the next level and not increasing power by much!

Remember I was asking you about transplanting into a waterfarm because I want to keep some vegging but I didn't think it was possible!! I was looking into ebb&FLow but I might just go with 2 waterfarms and call it a day! So 2 gallon smartpots huh? Can I hand water those through veg, I'm not to familiar with them.. I want to get this mini dwc grow down and then I'm coverting over to hydro so I might need some pointers haha what else is new. Anyway looking great bro, that vanilla is stretchy even in soil so plan on that!

Yeah I used to hand water during veg exclusively for the past couple years. It's fine for a few weeks but after that the PH and EC's (feed level) can become a bit wonky in the medium. If you do hand water I suggest a weekly flushing with pure phed water to help rinse some salts out. You should also be measuring runoff ph and preferably get an EC meter (Bluelab has a nice one for about 90).

Thanks for the VK tip, luckily shes a couple inches shorter than my Blackwater so I think it will work out alright. I'm just a little concerned of these outgrowing the space, I know how much waterfarms make plants blow up.

Sry I missed this post, yep. Just use the screen to spread her, then u flip and keep the shoots down under for about a week or so and then let them grow upward. Scrog is the bomb imo. Sog would be nice but no can do with those kinda plant numbers.

Its unreal the growth in those water farms! If I flipped in soil that soon it would barely stretch 6-8" past the screen after training depending on the strain of course. Plus It wouldn't fill out the screen like I know you will :)

So about the WF and these smart pots, what medium do you use in the smart pots?

So EC>PPM meter what ph pen would you recommend? Thanks! Looking forward to the new update, those flowers starting to fill out now I bet!

Oh and how long would I need to veg to fill out a 2x3 area with 1 wf vs 2? just an estimate of course :)

The medium I use in my smartpots is a mixture of hydroton and rockwool cubes, anywhere from 50/50 blend to 66%hydroton/33%rockwool...doesn't seem to make much difference. But the hydroton will dry out quickly, so for hand watering the rockwool will help considerably. They (grodan) also claim rockwool creates more feeder roots then pure hydroton, but I take that with a grain of salt.

For starting out I would just say get the GH ph drops and use a Bluelab EC Pen for about 90. http://www.getbluelab.com/shop/Bluelab+EC+and+ppm+pens.html

From seed I would say about 8-10 weeks, a rooted clone more like 6-7 weeks I would guess. Obviously it would depend on a lot of factors tho. Saw your getting a 600, badass man!

Thanks bro, now I just have to control the temp lol. I was looking at the all in one tester ph/ec/temp "BLUELAB", I put the link up there I think you missed it though. 200 on ebay, might go for that and be done with it. I have a cheapo hanna ph but its almost 2 years old lol, I think I can manage with that for the remainder of the soil grows I have going on :) I'm so damn excited to switch over to hydro now lol Maybe I'll do like 6 weeks veg under cfl's and then give it a week under the 600 to really get the wf going. Anyway thanks for the advice, now I have a simple 1 plant plan i just have to figure out what strain to keep around lol. OG, Vanillakush, Blackberry,Quzar or SLH ? You notice the little dwc cup I started? I've hand watered all the way through in rockwool with BCN and la blanka so I know what you mean, should I use 4" cubes for the 2 gal smart pots? naw u want the little stuff. Grodan Stonewool Chunks or Grodan Stonewool Growcubes. like this http://www.amazon.com/Growcubes-gal-Bag-Grodan-Stonewool/dp/B000EJ0PEI . That meter would work great, it's just a little expensive, but replaceable ph probe is nice. As for the water you could get filtration system like a RO for about 200 or since u won't need a ton for a single waterfarm, I might just buy it at the local pet store or grocery store.

I'm right behind you eagerly awaiting as usual lol. 3 weeks for me on wed, tops are already 8-10" avg above the screen with my VK #2 shooting up to 15-16" lol...

18" colas for life! :)

At least we will have some good bud porn to look at this christmas!!

Wow, so far my blackwater is out stretching the VK, but I have a feeling the BW will only stretch 2-3 weeks and the VK is lookin more like 3-4 weeks stretch. Purely guesses tho, never flowered these out b4. I'll get some pics tonight, forgot it was the championship big ten game last nite and got pretty shitty. Then the loss was depressing so got extra shitty. lol

lol, yea that vk will stretch her ass off. One of the pheno I have does seem a little stretchier then the other though..

BTW I was this close to ordering seeds tonight because I noticed your list then hopped on there and fell in love with a few tga's genetics and description lol.. I decided to hold off for now though, I have to much for my little area already! When can we expect to see these genetics in the flower room? That timewreck looks dank!!

I was gonna try the vortex and the querkle, plus bubbalicious and wappa.. Those jon saintclair freebies look pretty dank too and the DNA sour cream and lemon, damn I want some lol.

lol the only thing I've heard bad about querkle is that its a slow grower and needs a decent veg. Buds are very indica in smoke, but the purps and the flavor is very nice. Vortex is a low yielding, connoisseur strain but Sub still claims it's his all time fav. The Timewreck is Bloodwreck x Vortex so I figured the indica traits of the bloodwreck would help the growth pattern of the vortex and if I can still get the vortex high, that would be perfect. As for when I plan to have it in the flower room? well damn I hadn't even considered but it looks the like quickest I can have one move into flower would be May in the main area.... seems to long to wait lol my other option is popping them in 2gals and the putting them in to replace my BW&VK when the 600 tent finishes flowering.

I like the latter, I want to see your thought on it so I know what to get lol. Querkle sounds perfect for me then with the extra veg time I'll be giving and waterfarm in the future. Probably not till Mayish area for me too though.. Yea that vortex sounded tasty wasn't aware of the yield though :( Hopefully the timewreck is bomb and yield is decent and I'll just pick those 2 up! Will this be your first subcool run? I vote timewreck and the agent orange at least under the 600 to get an idea of what they can do!
