The only real issue about racism is us white dudes 'colonizing' black countries and making them our slaves so we could build the 'Great Society'.
Sure slavery went on long before Columbus let out about how great the western islands were and we started possessing those territories but the French and Spanish were doing the same thing.
Over 90% of indigenous peoples died in the next 200 years all through the North American and South American continents. Our 'Great Society' sure is great now tho eh!

Don't get me started about how religion played into the carnage. Screw any religion that got in on the deaths and resulting pain still in evidence in indigenous cultures from northern Canada to Australia and all over the world.
It was all over before I was born in '54 but I still feel the guilt and it sux. Even my grandparents showed up after the carnage but sure had nothing nice to say about those that were 'Other Than Caucasian'. They never felt any guilt but I do because I can see what they ignored.
I have 2 sons with a native mother so they are natives according to the current laws but likely less than 20% native blood. Technically they should be classified white but the 'one drop' ruling in the US way back when classifies anyone with one drop of other than white blood to be of that other race. And it's not even race. Just classification. Any dog is of the same 'race' but a different breed. The same with us humans. We are all of one race but different breeds. Each should be judged by actions rather than perceptions, I've met more assholes who are white than other shades of white.
I'm not even white for the most part. I'm pink mostly with long red hair. 20 min in the hot sun and I turn bright red and later I can peel that off and be pink underneath! If I'm careful with the sun the freckles on my face get so big it looks like I have a tan but that's short-lived. Two weeks after summer and people comment on how pale I look like it's my fault. I had babies with a native girl so my sons could get a real tan dammit!
I went back to school in my 30s and the best friend I had out of a dozen was from Kenya and a beautiful dark mahogany brown colour. He ended up living with us, wife and two young boys, going with us to the family cabin and having lots of fun fishing all over the lower mainland in BC. Often babysat for us too and both my boys loved him.
In a few more generations we're all going to be little brown babies so get over it. There are so many more important issues to deal with that we need all breeds on deck to deal with them before all of us are just memories. Bigotry is the stupidest of the stupid.

Is simply seeing a person's skin color racist? I listed about six or seven specific examples of racist actions that did harm to Black people with that very intent done by adults. You listed a hypothetical example of actions by kids.

The one genetic advantage of us whities is our ability to retain calories in the form of fat and comfortably live in very cold climates. Snow will always be white if you know what im sayin wink wink. God what id give to have some pure Kenyan blood coursing through my veins. To be able to spend an hour in the sun without my flesh melting off..... What a life that would be.

Hell ya! I thought it was great when that crap came out but holy crap was it a ripoff! I might take 15 minutes more to burn but all the missed spots would blister worse. when I was in grade school kids used to run up and grab big slabs of pealing skin off me and call me a snake. lol Was like that sometimes. when I was really little my mom would pot that Mt. Everest sunscreen stuff on me. Zinc oitment that looked liked plaster on your face. I think some celeb just got roasted online for doing much the same. But it's a real concern for all shades of white to dark. The ozone is better off than it was 20 years ago but still doesn't block it all and never did. I had a small sarcoma on my rt thigh removed 30 years ago. Was like the lowest level kind of skin cancer but could progress.
Now I'm 65 and have a few more that I think are much the same and a few more that look even more creepy. Try to get a doc to actually care up here in BumF**k, AB and maybe refer you to a dermatologist is like pulling teeth. I almost died from a leaky appendix that had been going on for 8 years until it finally caused me so much agony I went to the hospital. Was told it was constipation so the witch doctor gave me a shot glass full of decrapolator stuff and told me to shit and go home. 2 hours later I was on IV antibiotics and the next morning got moved to a newer hospital for a CAT scan and on the way back to the 1st hospital got re-routed to the big hospital 2 hours away ASAP and woke up in recovery 8pm that night after emergency surgery. 7 more days on IV antibiotics to clear up the peritonitis in my belly. The worst part was getting that damn drainage tube yanked out. OMFG! That hurt almost as bad as the kidney stone that had me calling the ambulance 2 days after I got home from the surgery.
Turned out the scan that caught the appendix problem also saw the stone. Said 4mm stone, non-obstructive. If they had of told me about it I would have toughed it out at home when it became obstructive and started moving down and causing a world of hurt. I now know what level 10 pain feels like but wish I didn't. Half way to the hospital in the ambulance the pain went way off the register then suddenly dropped off to level 1 or 2. I barely felt it when I pissed later and passed the stone but had I known I would have pissed through a strainer and had an ear stud made with the stone for shits and giggles. lol
Now it's the prostate problems and in a couple of weeks I get to go to the big city again to get a camera shoved up Mr. Happy. I doubt either of us are going to be happy about that.
Getting old ain't for pussies! Tho I'm pretty sure any ladies in the house might have something to say about that. They get that stuff checked out from a very early age compared to most of us guys. My first lower than the belt surgery was to get a vasectomy 6 months after my 2nd son was born. He screamed every f'n night and I knew for sure I didn't want any more like that!

Lol nothing like us pink skins. I get a fucking sunburn if i leave the blinds open during the day. Us pinkeys have very little melanin and sun burn incredibly easily in comparison to basically anyone of color. A few hours of direct sunlight in the summer would put me in the hospital with 3rd degree burns. A person of color might want to put some lotion on that night.
