I put it into the 5 gal.( plastic to save money) in Promix HP with no lime added as an experiment in the opposite direction from my last soil mixe. I did amend it though with some of my favorite stuff. I gave the burn in the solo cup and it's growing out thru it. This is a fem seed grown for convenience to take some cuttings from later.

Time really is money. I am wondering now if I have made a good choice in the genetic I chose. The last Blueberry fem I grew was from Dutch Passion and it had no blueberry terps and every seed was a pheno crapshoot. I gotta say though, I took the best specimen and crossed Chocolope to it and that brought out sick blueberry terps. My brother or his cop buddy stole those seeds and may God curse him for all he's done.
I hate assuming...assuming this is a relatively stable cross, assuming it will meet quality expectations...So far it's bugging me. Do I cull it and pull out the hype genetics? I need real fire right now. I've got a few purple indica x Chocolope I'd like to test but I'm somewhat scared of potential height problems. I have gastro pop s1 -Compound, truffle treats -Bleaf, runtz s1- Dojo, lots of packs of this and that. Wish I had not bought most of it. I have old stuff too. I really need to catalogue my old seeds better. Winter is the time for that. I have old stuff I made before the busts started that I should revisit.
I have new stuff and market pressure almost demands I pheno hunt for something tasty. Old, New...it's all good to me. I'm not sure if anything is selling anymore.I don't have a customer base in this new place and I am suffering.

When my blueberry Chocolope cross seeds were stolen by my brother and the police, I literally cried. It was my peak as a breeder before the busts started. At the onset of flower the test plants were frosted up immediately and the blueberry terps were heavenly. Yeah, I cried. That was my life's work. These seeds were not even part of a bust. My asshole brother and the cops found out I had them and two weeks later they disappeared from a fridge in my parents basement.
It's unreal the adversity I have faced and still face now. I had the choice to go mad dog and gun down my brother and no doubt he deserves it and asked for it. I chose life.

If it's for money go with hype course for me and you smoking it we might not be impressed but the market demands that stuff for some reason

I was thinking about the popup I was working. Mostly hype bud and coco chemical and poorly grown. Stuff that couldn't sell in California and wherever. All the flavors but no flavor...I did see one new terpy one too. A jet fuel cross. I have always grown for money. I've never had such a hard time finding new customers. I feel old and unwanted. I had hot stuff of my own in 2016. Now I am not even sure what is what. I have fallen behind in knowing what to expect with modern genetics. I keep thinking about a scrawny dry farm test plant 20+ years ago that was super resinous like it's mom. Seeds I've never really tested.
Even pheno hunting is hard when your broke. The one I want to test is just a few seeds of a Chocolope crossed to a purple indica.
I keep thinking about one I made outdoors with indoors in mind. A pog kush thing hit with one of my indica's. I just want to see the result. Why I started breeding before the pig circus.

IMG_20241119_004859.jpgIMG_20241119_004859.jpgThis stuff is pretty decent after development. I'm not much on the buzz though of this one. Time to move on. I've thought about what it is that I really miss. And there's just no way to turn back time. The way things are going I won't even be able to pheno hunt the 75 seeds I have left of Sk#1 x Chocolope. Let me describe the skunk pheno I lucked upon....A full blooded sativa perfect for indoors...The " Lime " was compact. It had beautiful terps. The bracting was like nothing I've seen. Starting with tiny bracts that were the smallest I've seen, toothpick tip sativa bracts that grew nested like an indica into huge dense nested bracts that were " devilish looking " and had the largest bracts I've seen on the outside of the " cabbages." The buzz was high. I've seen a lot in my day. I miss this stuff. I didn't have anyone to pass a clone to back then. Pot was illegal. Now everything else seems fucking lame.

The blueberry hybrid fem I am testing is typical of fem seed performance so far. I don't want to judge a book by its cover though.

I'm also looking for old school terps. I have two Tuna Kush and 4 Triangle Kush in the tents at the moment. Waiting to determine sex of the Triangle Kush seedling....probably another 2-3 weeks away.

I see DCSE has a new drop of Garlic Skunk -no idea about it......I highly doubt it has the old school skunk to it....most everything these days is grown by young people who never smoked any old school bud. They just tag an old school name onto some random hybrid, I think. Lots and lots of The Emperor's New Clothes plants now....meaning that, as long as people don't dispute calling random plants by old school names, then everyone is happy -or, rather blissfully ignorant. Is that Acapulco Gold really Acapulco Gold? Is that Skunk really "the" Skunk?....etc.

Is my Tuna Kush really Tuna Kush? Are the Triangle Kush plants really Triangle Kush? Well, I don' know what to expect about the Tuna Kush because I've never smoked it....But, the Triangle Kush I have smoked back in the mid-80's, when I was working in Miami. Granted, no one called it by name, back then. It was just the local Florida weed. If it's the real deal, then I'll know it.

I haven't seen any real Skunk in decades, though.....I stopped looking for it because everything I tried that was supposed to be it, wasn't even close.

What is in this thread is real skunk. My story is not a fairy tale. It may not be what you remember as skunk, but it is Sk#1 from Dave Watson. Is it in Triangle Kush? I saw a photo and the flower phylotaxy was similar. Triangle nuggets.

When comparing to what was sold to me as Skunk in 1980 or 1981....Almost 45 years ago...what I got back then was skunk or a hybrid. Golf ball nuggets like my clone has....terps? That's what I cannot remember. I only remember it blew me away. First KB I ever had. It was not skunky. No more than what I have now. Funny but the burnt rubber Farmers Daughter pheno I cut last night is skunky as hell. Burnt Rubber is skunky.
I don't know what to do. Old stuff, new stuff...I love it all really.
I gave a clone to some folks in friendship and was ghosted and told not to come around anymore. I sent them an empty package of Sensi Seeds Sk#1 because they have a fake cut now.

I've got top quality flower and no customers and it sucks. Welcome to legalization and f*** you old school. I have room for two plants coming up. Maybe I should pop skunk#1 beans. If I wait a little I can hunt more. If I can't sell pot...I could use that and make seeds. I see Skunk this and Skunk that all over Va. with different people...but do they have it? None of them had it. That's why the shady moves got pulled on me.

Well, if you're correct, then congratulations....You should soon be very rich from the value of those Skunk seeds. In fact, whatever is left of us old school smokers will pay you dearly for them. In fact, name your price.....I joke, but I'm pretty sure that whatever you have is likely not what I smoked back in the 70's.

As to what's in Triangle Kush? I have no idea. Like I say, it was just the local, Florida weed....no name for it....All the names and hype came waaaay later. When I started hearing about the name "Triangle", it was always referencing the local Florida weed, so I'm taking a chance that it MIGHT be the real thing.....but, at the same time, I kinda doubt it. I'm just hoping that these strains don't suck -the way that the Hazeman F5 "Chocolate Thai" (so-called) did. Not only was it not Thai, it was bunk weed, in general....and that was an F5?????

One more thought...the clone I have now shows impressive resin when properly grown ...with even the large fan leaves and petioles encrusted with trichomes. It really responds to optimum conditions. The only concern mold in the greenhouse from the large buds.

I had real chocolate Thai seeds....I grew one plant and a buddy stole it. Moron. I wish I had those seeds? Where did they all go??? The shit was everywhere all over the U.S. 1987-1988.

I want to share a spiritual stoner story about the Granddaddy Turtle place.
I was woods walking looking for sunny enough grow spots. I was with my dog BooBoo. I came to a spot that copters and planes couldn't see really. My dog hit a skunk there and they had a death struggle. My dog got skunk sprayed in the process.
I knew I had found my spot. The dog and the skunk picked it.

Fem Canuck Blueberry hybrid. I'm debating now to clone it. I'm doubting I will want to run it twice. The original plan was to relax and grow whatever and pheno hunt this winter, then make sk#1 seeds. Like a vacation I deserve. But the sk#1 mom is here and the seeds are getting very old...were disturbed last year etc...IMG_20241120_232535.jpg

Florida old school bud....I was in Cocoa Beach in 1988 and scored some Hawaiian bud that was excellent.
Skunk in the 70's....That might not have been Sk#1. Dave Watson and friends were rocking it in 1978 in Santa Cruz.... I'd have to look it up how much earlier. But was Sk#1 available? Weren't the first seeds packs in 1979 for the 1980 season?

I was sight unseen gonna run blueberry clones....Better would be to take a cut, and flower the one plant to see if there's color in the pan. And start running the old skunk seeds with 7 days veg. I wish the seeds will be money for me. I'm really poor after the busts. Kids now hit it and it's not 30% thc and they are not impressed. To really get the potency it has to be sungrown and to reach full potential you need a well ventilated and controlled greenhouse. I've run it in and out and that's my take.

The Canuck Blueberry is hitting it's stride now. I transplanted straight into a 5 gal. from a solo cup and it's found the nutes now. I have gotten to know my starter fertilizer and it gives the plants nice color along with the other stuff. I usually share that info but corporate pot interests can figure it out for themselves if they ever want to get in the dirt. I like the color and girth of those petioles under the apicle meristem.
Growing this plant from Canada reminds me of Steve Kubby and how I longed to disappear to Canada off of probation 20 some years ago. The U.S. is so fucked. I wish again I could but it is even more impossible now and there were activists in B.C. then who would have helped. No one cares about anything I grow or do anymore. What a shame Mary Jane had a pain at the party.

I hate change. I'm using a 3 year old bottle of Vita Grow. I used it when they were called Wood's. Covid shut them down I think. I don't know what to buy next time. I've used this brand for 25 years or more.
