Rrog whats your take on this brother.....Fish and Seaweed (This is sooo easy)

1 gallon H2O

For mid to late flowering…
1 tbs. Neptune’s Harvest 2-4-1 Fish
1 gallon H2O
the sell the whole line at my local shop. Was wondering if you have any experience with? Thinking about starting my royal queen moby with this method.

Any particular reason why you avoid them? I was looking for a little bit more of a description, however if my asking questions here is a bore to you or your busy with other things I have no issue directing my inqueries elsewhere!

Well, I just prefer to get my nutrients from closer to the raw source rather than have a company extract or concoct, then mix in a bottle. No biggie. Not meaning any offense.

Obviously I misunderstood, I thought it was you who'd mentioned it to me, but the wife just reminded me it WAS CANN! I thought you were the fish emulsion man so when I saw the no I don't use em I thought wtf I thought he was the fish emulsion dude so I apologize for the confusion. I cant see why they wouldn't be a decent change of pace looking further into there product line.

Nute envy..... That stinks you can't get this stuff there. Maybe you should be a distributor or such. We'll send you a few pallets via ocean freight

That's exactly what I was thinking man :) I will definitely be doing some research to see if it is viable. Organic gardening is growing at a phenomenal rate here, even my folks are catching on to it. Magazines are doing huge spreads on organic gardening and even TV shows are talking about it. Really been considering getting a supportive biz going to assist organic growers in S.A mate. Other prime examples are kelp meal and molasses in the Blackstrap style, simply not available. You get the extracts sure but we all know its not the same. I've been improvising my teas quite a bit, experimentation is fine but sometimes all I want is certainty that I'm doing the right thing, can really dig the idea of simply following a recipe!

Yet another thing I can't find in S.A :( You guys are very fortunate with the great stuff available to you, I'm getting nute envy...

Just pull a great white out of your beaches (ive heard there about) and bury that sumbitch in your vermicompost pile ham lol!

Rrog,I mixed up some soil from your recipe but made a few substitutions to use up what I already had. I used blood meal instead of fish meal, then potash, sulfur and epsom salt instead of sul-po-mag then for my rock powders I used 2 cups GRD,1/2 cup bentonite,1/2 cup oyster shell,1/2 cup azomite and 1/2 cup excelerite. I also decided to try growstone instead of perlite and a $32 2-CF bag was enough to make 5 CF of mix. Any thoughts on my subs and have you tried growstone? Is 30 days the minimum wait to be able to use this? I was also going to add the nematodes and BTI when I plant in it. Where do you get your nematodes from?

Nematodes http://www.naturescontrol.com/thrip.html#pn

Growstone looks cool. Let us know what you think. Looks like pumice / lava rock so it's gotta be good. Sounds like a plan. So moisten as per normal and let the microbes start decomposing that stuff and storing in the humus and clay.

Did you get the biochar? Did you pre-treat with a N source like Alfalfa tea?

I add the Nematodes and BTI as a holdover from the days of supersoil. Back then the Roots soil was about guaranteed to be infested, so adding the predators initially allowed them to feast while the cooking occurred. Clean as a whistle once 5 weeks are done.

I had couple things I forgot to tell you, the base was 1/3 premier sphagnum peat, 1/3 growstone and 1/3 of a 50/50 mix EWC and dairy doo manure compost and I also added 2 tablespoons of humic acid granules.
I wet each C/F with a gallon of water with a tablespoon of super plant tonic, it has endo and ecto bacteria, myco fugi and a few other things.
I didn't pre-treat the biochar, I crushed the lump charcoal then ran it through a blender and turned it into a powder. Will this cause a problem?
So I should wait 5 weeks before using it? How about transplanting something that's vegged for 30 days?

That all sounds good. Maybe a little fine on that biochar... but I'll gladly take a smoothie now.

I would wait 5 weeks, yes because that will burn a root.
