Exactly. And the people in those jobs should realize said jobs were never meant to provide "survival". Rather, they were meant to provide gas and beer money for high school teenagers.

Anyone in the unfortunate position of having to rely upon a McJob for survival needs life coach help as much or more than a meager raise.

It's kinda like the Social Security program. It was never designed to provide a real comfortable standard of living. If you are say......60 and don't have a bunch of financial cushions by now, it's your own damn fault.

Not sure about this gov. forced privatization stuff. I wish the gov. would allow me to privitized my SS contributions by playing the stock market, investing it. I'd be a multi-million by now. GW tried but the liberal tards did the nanny thing saying only they can make such decisions.

You're correct sir. I understand that. And believe me, I'm very sensitive to the plight of single mothers and their "fatherless" children.

I'm just pointing out that those jobs were never intended to support anyone to that extent, and trying to elevate the pay to that end (so that it makes a real difference) seems very difficult and tricky. We'll see what happens around the country as differing communities give it a try.

Total bullshit, there are more jobs than people willing or able to work, at least here in Texas. Where I live we have a labor shortage, no real unemployment.

During Obama's reign as King the job market has gone to hell compared to the Clinton and Bush years. Folks have given up looking for work, and why not? The incentive to work and better yourself must come from within and is usually a result of good parenting at home. That incentive to work has been eliminated by the socialist government. Same with savings.

Most can not pass a drug test and if they can, have no work ethic. They want a job, but don't want to work.

Creating jobs is a phrase that just doesn't make sense to me. I think it would be better to get the work done and just chill. Maybe read a book or travel.

been to the airport recently? they have a shitload of kiosks that you must 'check-in' with for ticket..then you go to the counter where a 'human' re-does the whole fucking thing because your bags must be weighed etc.

i have not once gotten a boarding pass from a kiosk that the human didn't re-print and tear up the kiosk version once my bags were checked.

not once.
