Starting Your Seeds

As in nature, the weed knows which way is up and down. It doesn't matter which way you drop it in as long as you don't plant it too deep. 1/4", no more.

Again no fairies in the woods of antiquity placing the seeds point up...

here is the pics of the gear i use.
one shows the cheap plastic prop with the clear lid(humidity dome).
one shows a dry jiffys and shows how they fit in the prop nicely(room for 20 jiffys).
the pic of the swollen jiffy shows you how i prep them soak them in warm water untill fully soaked then just squeeze the excess water out and shape it how it looks in the pic.
and one pic just shows what kind of weight you want the jiffy to be once prepped.
if i am planting maybe 10 seeds then i will weigh each jiffy to 38g to give consistency with the moisture level you can give them a light misting of water after 12 hrs and that will do untill they sprout.
once this is done just make a small 5mm deep hole in the top of your prepped jiffys and just simply drop the seeds in there holes straight out the packet cover them slightly with some peat from the jiffy put them in the prop put the lid on and keep in a drawer in TOTAL DARKNESS make sure the temps are 21-23* and you are most definately going to get 100% germ rate within 70-85 hrs.
i have done over 60+ seeds for various people just to get their sprouts started and never had one not sprout.as soon as you see the peat cracking at the top of the pellet and life coming(any whiteness from the embrio/seed)then remove them from the dark and start your 18/6. NO LIGHT UNTILL THEN ONLY A QUICK CHECK ON PROGRESS.
i may do 6 seeds shortly for a friend and when i do i will show you the sprout as it cracks the jiffy surface.

How does that medium hold up in hydro?
Can I simply put that into my netcups with some hydroton around the jiffy pellet?
Do you simply use ph balanced water for the soaking and misting every 12 hours?
Once you do the initial soak, do you put any water in the bottom of the plastic or do you simply mist every 12 hours with ph balanced water to feed them?

A little more detail on the process into the system would be awesome!

Intuitively i have always been sensitive to the inherent natural, genetic predisposition of the marvelous marijuana plant that we all are in continuous awe of.
No amount of scientific research could describe completely the processes which occur in nature. Plants are sensitive to their environment, we all know that, thats why we strive to create optimal conditions in our endeavors to produce satisfying harvests. Our degree of sensitivity towards our plants is "felt" by the plants.

Has anyone watched the dvd "What the bleep do we know?" ? Awesome eye-opener. In the film it shows how molecules of water are affected by the frequencies of energy generated by focussed thought patterns. Quite simply this scientist labeled bottles of distilled water, photographed the molecules using some hi-tech electron microscope, and the differences at that molecular level between the bottle with a label of "I hate you" and the bottle labeled "The Chi of Love". Mind boggling.

it does help, though not necessary they will break surface faster. i had one this year it was growing in curls under the soil. lol so i helped it out it's good now ...
but jax is very knowledgeable and more people should listen

Did i forget to mention that I put a picture of Rosie O'Donnell at the bottom of every pot? That scares them right up to the surface...

Are you sure they won't leap right out of the soil to their death? That's a lot of ugly to have in one small space .

Yes, that's true Miss.... that's why I have learned to put the pic at the bottom. Any closer will put the seeds into complete shock and they will stay in their shell.

OK im going to put my seeds straight into the soil and not use the paper towel method this time do i need to water the soil after i do it or should i just leave them alone....also do i need to keep them in a dark spot

I use the 1 inch Rock-Wool Cubes, and even for Bagseed i hve an excellent germination rate.

You don't need to feed seedlings for at least a week. As for moisture in the soil, yes...keep the soil wet but not soppy wet. They don't need to go into the dark. Just mimic nature and you will be fine.

mother nature doesnt fuck up... she's been growing plants since the beginning of time lol

i was wondering if i just planted some seeds in the winter and mimic when they sprouted in the spring then i would be able to tell when the best time to move outside would be .. that would be a good assumption of when to transplant

Well, unless they are auto's they are going to resynch with the sun. You could start them vegging way ahead of time but when the sun slips below 12 hrs...you'll flower.

I put a few up in december and almost got them done, but the sun has impeded my finish. I am now tucking them in early so as to fool them into completion, but I can see them wanting to reveg. My buds lost a bit of tightness.
