Store Hash Long Term

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me a good way to store hash for the very long term? I am talking years hopefully.

I am 53 years old, married with children, and will need to be discrete (thus no freezer).

Your ideas are welcome!

I don't have experience holding onto hash for long amount of time, but wouldn't a mason jar preserve it quite nicely?...

I have thought about breaking the hash up into .2 gram bits and individually wrapping them in plastic and then putting them in a mason jar.

Does anyone know how long hash will last?

Yeah id go with the vaccume seal idea. Do that and put the bag n a mason jar up n the back of ur closet where it stays slightly cooler. Plus kids cant get to it.

Don't do that.
The more you break it up, the more surface area will be exposed to air, and the faster it will degrade.
If you have a big chunk, keep it intact.
Keep it in a low-volume airtight container.
Wrapped in plastic inside a mason jar is OK.

^OK. The thing is, I am going to score about an ounce of Nepalese hash, but then my connection is leaving. I don't know anyone else and so this one ounce of hash will have to last me, well possibly until the end of my smoking days. I want to make sure I do it right.

An oz. of hash is 28 grams. You're smokin' in .2 gram sessions I'm assuming from your previous post, so you have 140 .2 gram sessions.

I don't know how often you smoke, but even one session a day that only is 4 months worth of smoking. You're really gonna store an 0z for years?

Sorry, I don't know if you already did the math, I was just thinkin' about it and wonderin' myself.

Vacuum sealers work well, but definately use them in conjunction with a mason jar, as they do lose their seal very slowly over long periods of time.

BTW: Nepalese hash sounds amazing!

I have been wondering the same. I could use the freezer. would freezer be ok

Freezer works the best, do that if you can, but as OP said, freezer is not option due to family so this is more of thread for brainstorming secretive ways of hash storage...

If thats your last chunk 'forever', then don't put all your eggs in one basket. The ground itself gets very cold 5' down or so. Get an auger and 10' PVC pipe or something that matches the width of the auger, with caps. Properly glue the bottom cap, and put the tube in the hole. Put half of your stash in a mason jar, place jar in netting or some kind of bag that you can tie a line to, preferrably something that won't show any age for a long time like 550 paracord.. Lower it down and then let it slack before duct-taping the end of the cord near the top of the tube so you can reach it. Put the top cap on and seal it with grease or something that gives an air seal but doesn't stick. Bury the top. Make sure its deep enough to avoid basic detection and still accessible. Pick a location that is safe and marked so you can always find it. This is also a great way to stash firearms, considering the metal would be 10' below ground, out of range of metal detectors.

Oh, and don't kill yourself in the process. Ain't nobody gonna rescue you if that auger goes wrong. Also some kind of land can't be easily augered, like if its heavy shale or something. Do a little research.

Can't auger because we are so close to the coast, but I will think about the PVC.

I would try a stealth outdoor grow, but I am too afraid I would get caught.

My hash stash should last me 15-20 years by my estimates. One hit is all it takes.

Too bad my connection is leaving...So I obviously have to get this right.

I think it's highly possible you will make another connection within 15 years time....

Yes, but how do I hide my stash?

I can't use the freezer cause of family and I can't drill a hole in the ground.

I could put it in the rafters of my garage, but I fear it would get too hot in the summer.

More ideas on where to hide my once of hash so no one ever finds it?

I think you're safe just stashing it in mason jars and maybe get like a mini locking safe and keep it tucked away high up in a closet or something. There's gotta be somewhere awesome you could keep it.

I have an attic that my family would never dare enter, also a safe built into the wall of my master closet... That's just me, you must have something. My final answer high up rarely visited place, in a jar, in some kind of locked case maybe...

^Thanks.

There is a grow shop in the community just over the border into Holland where I could get all the seeds and supplies one could ever want, but I just don't have the time or the courage to try an outdoor grow. I have small kids and obviously cannot go to jail.

Besides, the population density here is too high to grow weed outside.

Is that better than blonde lebanese hash?

First of all, concealing an ounce of something shouldn't be all that difficult.
Just left at room temperature hash will lose potency, though slowly. If you keep it in an airtight jar, and don't break it up, it should retain most of its potency for at least a few years.
I wouldn't really consider that a "lifetime" supply, but that depends on how much you use.

In terms of hiding spots, I wouldn't entirely give up on the freezer:

-Create secret panel/opening/false bottom in freezer or hide within part of freezer not generally accessed (eg inside light bulb compartment, glued to underside of divider/drawer, onto shelf support arm, inside air duct/vent, etc). Be creative.

-Conceal stash within something else in freezer that nobody else would consider opening/eating (eg freezer thermometer, frozen spinach, etc).

-Get "personal" fridge/freezer for office; see above.
