I found these in a box in the garage. They're late nineties brick weed. I cracked a few open and they seemed viable. I'm going to try and sprout a few to see if they are.

Thanks for your input. Actually upgrading to leds very soon. Going to be ordered in a week or 2. Also I just crossed 2 strong plants to be sure no hermie. Also people who are scared or claim they will be hermie probably haven't thought about how fem seeds are made. You can get a hermie from those too. The difference is, is it 1 or 2 seeds or a million... Most good buds will produce a seed here and there and that's where I get all my beans from. I'll post another couple pics. Still no hermie. Still no balls. Nothing but colas. Just burning the PK like crazy. More than any other I got.
Magically my internet is running like it's fucking dial up and half my pictures are not available and the lights are out. Will have to post more later.

I never toss seeds unless they look like they got ran over. I save everything. F buying a million fem seeds. They cost way too much. I'm finding some phenos I like and starting to clone next month or 2. By summer I will have a bigger operation going with more room and better lights. Going to get a ChilLED Growcraft x5... Maybe x4... Depends how much pennies I can scrape together.

You can still use them, just don't put in your main flower room. Keep them separate under a cheap light. Maybe run a cross with the 2 strongest. Better chance of no hermie I would think... Worked for me so far.

Bag seed first.
It came from killer shit right? Grow it. It was free. Keep an eye out for hermies. No big deal.
Best weed I ever grew was from bag seed. Shittiest weed I ever grew was from seed bank.

best option is neither and always cuts from someone or a group of people who have already put the work in should take priority if you can find a way in

Wow some old 90's killer brick weed seed! Must be some type of Mexican landrace. I have large collection myself of old landrace sativa from Oaxaca, Vera Cruz, Chiapas. Very sativa and very much not stabilized.

I wonder if the growers from Latin America were actually getting seed fro the Dutch seed banks in the early 90's? Was the seed coming from California? Can anyone confirm this theory?

I doubt the growers in Mexico were growing anything from Dutch breeders back in the 90's. But Who knows? Still it's highly unlikely. I'm in Oregon so the weed we got came through California up I-5 for sure. I spent some time in Mexico for work in the 90's and bought some weed from one of the bartenders at a place called the Mai Tai in San Carlos. It had seeds in it but I didn't bring any back as I was afraid to get caught smuggling anything. The weed that I hadn't smoked I threw away before leaving.

Looking back it wouldn't have been hard to bring the seeds back but I wasn't growing at the time and didn't even think about it. All I thought about were the armed soldiers at the airport and stories of Mexican jails. No way I was doing anything that could get me in trouble flying home. I was already paranoid about having the weed I bought and kept thinking I was being setup.

I still rolled a few fat ones and smoked them on the balcony of the hotel room while looking out to the Sea of Cortez drinking a Pacifico. That was when you could go to Mexico. There's no way I'm going back today. It's crazy down there. I had a Uber driver tell me about going back and he said to stay away.

Day 14 of 12/12. A few more pictures for you guys. 9 Inch colas currently on the cross. Close ups of the buds (used a loupe and my camera for better quality and clarity) Piney, Diesel, Fuel, Old school smell. I picked the parents for this reason, plus the quality of the parents. Not bad at all I would say for my first hand selected cross. Also I agree. Never bring stuff back. Never go to a Mexican jail. They run to the USA for a reason. Stay the f out. If anything mail them back in something. Atleast you wouldn't goto jail over it.
