Yeah probably. Ascorbic acid only dropped the oxygen content by about 50% and it would only matter if there was no more oxygen being bubbled in. So yeah, I need not have posted that quote, since it's not a big deal anyway. However, if there's a choice between a chemical with no natural presence in plant material and vitamin C, it's a pretty easy choice for me. The aquarium water product was an interesting idea. Just turned out that there's a better alternative so why not use it?
