I think in the long run you’re going to be happier with two 600/650 watt bar style. For a 4x8, would bars be better than multiple 240w boards? Still trying to figure out best approach as it's quite lot of money for me. I am debating between 4-5 240w 3000k versus 2 600w bars

Yeah they are. They advertise using LM301B diodes. I don't disagree with what you're statement, just trying to understand if what Mars is saying is true or not.Mars Hydro is not a chinese LED supplier? Afaik 301H is the same as 301B, they are indistinguishable. if the chinese are using decent bin 301B diodes im ok with that lol.
Sorry I haven't been on here a while. Yes I have, set it up to check it works but not hanged it yet as only have seedlings at the moment, easy to set up but the plug is tiny and driver sits between bars so that's very annoying.Did you get the geek beast yet?
I hit up geeklight about it on IG lolYeah they are. They advertise using LM301B diodes. I don't disagree with what you're statement, just trying to understand if what Mars is saying is true or not.
Thank you for sharing that. Have you seen any more information about the Kind LED inflated efficacy figures? I'm guessing Indagroove is referencing this light:So I just saw this on another forum. A Mars Hydro rep is saying that all Chinese manufactures have fake LM301H diodes. That's the first I've heard this. I'm not so sure I believe Mars Hydro, who is known to be somewhat less than honest. Also they were apparently claiming 3.0 j/watt on their new FC series, until they got called on it, and seemed to admit it is not accurate. Check it out:

Not really sure if Mars should be throwing a blanket of shit at other lighting manufacturers. So I just saw this on another forum. thats 6.7amps if you do one per driver. whats max amps of the fotop?OK so I have the week after next off and wanting to get my fotops built and have a few questions. First off I've researched electrical wire and 0.75mm wire can handle more than enough power. Will this wire be OK? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07HHL25J3/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A2B89ROHYXJOGG&psc=1
Also I ended up getting 10 hlg-320h-48 drivers to run one on each board for now which is overkill as plan on running up to 250w a board but in future could get more boards and run 2 on each driver softer. I will only need 2 way connectors?
Also what do you guys mount drivers to? Is it fine to run say 3 or 4 in an surge protectored extension lead?
Going to order 1000mm x 350mm 3m thick aliminium sheets, is that OK to support the boards alone or will it sag a bit in the middle still?
Sorry to bother you with so many questions at once, I've been looking into it and just want reassuring really.
@MarsHydrofactory has lied to the community for almost a decade and had the worst customer service going. So I just saw this on another forum. It doesn't say on listing but they have sold them ready to go with hlg-320's.thats 6.7amps if you do one per driver. whats max amps of the fotop?
That should all work although yoou may want more than the alu sheet for full 320w.OK so I have the week after next off and wanting to get my fotops built and have a few questions. Thanks for the reply, I don't plan on running at full power. I have 2 4m x 1m rows I'd like to cover as much as possible, also have the geekbeast and appreciate I won't cover it all but hanging high what's best space between them at around 250w? So individual timers all set a couple minutes different for protection, what an expensive hobby I've stumbled into haha. That should all work although yoou may want more than the alu sheet for full 320w.
As for drivers: if you have 3-4 on the same timer it will probably jump your fuses. I usually hang the drivers from the chains we have over the grow ffor hanging everything
That's sweet, that geekbeast should cover a good share of it so should be good.3x 250 fotops covers 2m of aisle; youd need about 12 for 2x 4m.
I'd put money on geeklight telling the truth over mars hydro any day. Thanks for that.Rita fang: the cheapest to customize is the A8, what's more it support daisy chain, voltage also is 48V and 0.9amps per strip.
10k+ for 16x bar lights to light 5x5 spaces at 26w/sqft or 6600 bucks for 58x 240w folux boards to light up 29x 3.5x3.5 spaces at 39w/sqft
I hit up geeklight about it on IG lol
