Prob hot spot, you saw my comnent about this on timber announcement thread? Have to adjust a little, cuz your training style is diff.Yeah they weren’t very happy when I had them at 77 degrees. I also noticed once I moved the PDB with the slight droop from directly under the light it improved as well.
That one wants to stretch bigtime
I don’t mind at all. It’s bontanicare Cal-Mag plus and I use 5 ml per gallon once a week. What do you use for Cal-Mag? And if you don’t mind me asking, how much do you use?
Bwhahaha!! I don’t have a style I just topped them and it is what it is lol.Prob hot spot, you saw my comnent about this on timber announcement thread? Have to adjust a little, cuz your training style is diff.
I messed up topping that one . I expect it will almost double. That one wants to stretch bigtime
That is the true riu in action, i hate it but obviously don’t hesitate to use fire w fire when personally attacked...some of that was boilover from another thread.Bwhahaha!! I don’t have a style I just topped them and it is what it is lol.
Omg ... that Timber thread is off the chain. I left quietly because things were getting quite ugly. I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
I already moved the smaller plants to thatThat is the true riu in action, i hate it but obviously don’t hesitate to use fire w fire when personally attacked...some of that was boilover from another thread.
Anyway, back to your grow, how you grow is your style, no matter what you do. We’re growing a highly adaptable weed, like the real world, it takes all kinds.
Main point on hotspots is that everything has +/-, trick is to use them to your advantage. Hotspot means penetration power, use it for short laterals, get tall ones out of way. Additionally, if you do this, do it in a way that you get a 2fer with apical dominance (by pulling taller mains lower, gravitational effect on hormones trigger shorter laterals to reach for sun).
Post 176 here https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/3rd-indoor-grow-3-strains.1505900/page-9 shows this effect really well.
Ignore what was prev in this post, mis-read your post.I already moved the smaller plants to that
“Hot spot” I’ll check the post from grasscity so I can get a better understanding . Thanks
You shouldn't have any issues with "penetration" with boards. I found my boards get slightly denser lower buds than my cobs, but I would imagine it would be different if I ran the cobs with lenses or reflector rather than bare.Dude I’m considering getting the QB288 V2 for my cab. Heat is an issue, would you suggest it over a COB? My concern is light depth, because i’d like to grow some Sativas

Cool, I mixed oyster shell at 1tbsp/gal into my soil mix when I transplanted. It’s been in the pot for about a month so yeah maybe I should start. I’m really trying to back away from feeding so much. The soil already had amendments in it (feather meal, bone meal, blood meal, bat guano, and Kelp) I added gypsum, oyster shell, and Alfalfa.I don’t mind at all. It’s bontanicare Cal-Mag plus and I use 5 ml per gallon once a week.
I started with the lime ( 1st time) it seems like it stopped working after 3 weeks and I expected it to last the entire grow.
Under these lights or maybe it’s my RO water but they’re starving for it weekly.
Yeah I think i’ll stick with boards since I have a little experience with them. You shouldn't have any issues with "penetration" with boards. I don't think there is a better/worse of either, I do prefer the boards due to sheer lack of weight of the fixture but again my fault for oversizing heatsinks when I build the cob rig.
Sounds like a good mix , I only started with the cal-mag because I noticed the deficiency setting in.Cool, I mixed oyster shell at 1tbsp/gal into my soil mix when I transplanted. Good for you! Having a personal growing journal is tedious but helps so much. I don’t write everyday in it, but It’s helped look back and see where I went wrong. It is kinda fun I guessSounds like a good mix , I only started with the cal-mag because I noticed the deficiency setting in.
I don’t feed them anything during veg and start with 1/2 the amount of nutes in the beginning of flower. I’ve never made it through without cal-mag giving me problems at some point. I write everything down for when I finally get it right, I’ll be able get it done repeatedly.
It really does help. I don’t write daily just the important stuff so I don’t hit the same roadblock next time around.Good for you! Having a personal growing journal is tedious but helps so much.
