Would a diffuser help spread the light out when headroom is nonexistent? The diy mountain bikers would use lenses to creat flood lighting to help with spreading out their LEDs. I will be in the same boat shortly.

Yes...this is a good point and i see it....however....i am getting the maximum spread as it is...my cabinet is saturated with light as my entire ceiling is pretty much a heatsink and LED's. So i see a diffuser as a bit counter productive in my circumstance. Thanks though.

By 'same boat' do you mean height restrictions?

Same boat as in 29" of vertical to work with. I have a wide angle lens for a magicshine x-ml bike light that I will try out when I get my cxa's hooked up. Ebay item # 271465541878 is similar. It should spread out the light intensity to give me a bigger bright spot.

So thought i better update this as there have been a few necessary changes...

1)Namely,,.i have purchased my 1st tent...and rolled it over on its side so that i can maximise my LED footprint with that silly thing i call a DIY panel. More head room, more leg room and better (safer) coverage....trying this out..and i might purchase another one for my veg/ clone tent aswell....

2)A few weekz back i made the cardinal sin of being a 'lazy grower'....well those couple of weekz spelled: 'DOOM'. Hermie central reigned supreme and spooffed itz shit over my entire crop...so i had to remove a few of my culprits and have a mass culling...then found my 'White Rhino' was going the same path...crap...hopefully my C99 and Purple OG #18 are all good...

3) Because of the heat that my 400w+ panel was putting off in a relatively small area....i was having to water most days and i also had to bring in a fan that could move some air around to stop everything cooking....Because the air was fair blasting at the plantz...i saw some damage in the 1st couple of weeks of flower (closest to the fan)


They look like splashes from 'nutrients burns'....but actually 'DELTA FAN' damage...

Just goes to show..im still a rookie in this game...


So still setting up here....should be able to double the plantz under the same amount of light...




The Purple OG #18...1st run with this...nice structure so far...we shall see how she pans out...

Hmmmm....the floodlights? Oh yeah...that thing! Hahaha...ummmm itz gathering dust in the corner...where LED's go to die....I just used it to get my outdoor guff ready initially....it played itz part for being Chinese diodes...then i got bored... usual story)

Im thinking of donating it for last place in the Cup Comp...

Yeah bit more volume would be nice ....2+ ounces per plant every 2 weeks.....(new goal)

Haha...Yeah...it died...

Nah bit slack this season...still haven't prepped the ground or kicked my ass into gear...I'll keep you posted.

Purple OG #18

Seeing strong bud site development on this after 3 daze in the tent...amazing what a new environment can do for a plant... (proper distances, watering and airflow)


And i never saw praying leaves in my previous instalment....wow...im actually improving my skill set...

About 10 days in the tent.... Purple OG #18 is budding well....Stretch is done....Starting to bulk up...

Purple Haze is has started to come into flower (to the right of it)...

New Filter and Fans coming in the next few daze....

All well deserved my friend. Looks like they are a little bigger and fuller than previous runs.
I love the tent on it's side...I wanted to do that to a veg tent for me.
